Pregnancy after WLS?

I'm planning on having weight loss surgery & I'm just curious about pregnancy works after surgery. I've always wanted kids. I'm 22 years old, which is pretty young still, but I do want children in the future. I always had unprotected sex with my ex but I never got pregnant. I just figured I wasn't able to have kids. But then I found out that weight plays a big role in your reproductive health.

Anyway, does anyone have any stories of you or someone you know that got pregnant after WLS? I know you have to wait 18 months until you get pregnant. Thanks. =]

Yes it is very possible to get pregnant after WLS.  In fact it becomes easier to do so.  It is recommended to wait until
the weight is off before trying, in fact many docs ask that you use precautuions until then.  The reason is that there is a 12-18 month window to lose weight easily.  If you use that time being pregnant you will indeed lose precious time.  Would it be impossible?  No, just harder.
