update on Liz C.! She had her RNY on Monday!
Hey, all -
As Liz's angel, she has asked me to give you guys an update as to how she's doing since her RNY on Monday. I went to see her in the hospital last night....she looked good, but has been having some pretty significant nausea. The meds are helping a little, but she hasn't been up walking too much b/c it's then that she gets nauseous. She's sipping a little bit and when I left her she had drank what she was supposed to for the hour.
She's been having a hard time with the nursing staff....which stinks, since I had the same group of nurses and they were wonderful. Bad luck I guess.
So, just know she's been thinking of all of you and will likely be discharged home today! Keep her in your thoughts!

Been thinking about Liz. Hope the nausea has subsided. Maybe a reaction to the anesthesia??
Let her know that her job for the next couple weeks is to walk, sip & breathe. Keep the liquids and protein up. I hope she found a protein drink that she likes. Let her know that we made room on the Looser's bench for her. Can't wait to see her at the next Victory mtg. ((HUGS)) Elissa
