re: 6th Anniversary
Happy Anniversary to my Roomie, Tina and me. January 26th, 2004. WOW! How things have changed. Healthy, fit and medication-free. Life is great. Having the courage to have surgery was the best decision I ever made. My tool still works. I was able to loose 15 lbs in the "Mindful Eating" class that I attended in Symrna. 45 miles for 8 weeks was so worthwhile. I follow most of the rules and when I don't I can usually tell pretty quickly. ( I recently ate 6 rigatoni's and didn't hold onto them for long.) I usually do polenta while everone else does pasta. I've stepped up my exercise program by adding the elyptical for 20 minutes daily. Still keep my journal and get in my protein and vitamins. Saw Dr. Irgau in December, he was happy with my progress and my blood work was good. I try to make a support group meeting every month and often get online for the Bariatric Eating, com Wednesday evening meetings.
Did I say life is good? I gotta give credit to the great Dr's at CHRIAS, PMRI's staff for their continued support. Friends I have met along the way. Thanks to my family, but most of all to ME. ((HUGS)) Elissa

Congratulations on 6 years, Elissa! Think of all the accomplishments you've made, and the lifestyle changes you have chosen to make, and kept up with. HOORAY FOR YOU! You are truly an inspiration to us all. Keep up the good work.
I agree, the staff at CHRIAS, PMRI, and my support group leaders are wonderful, and help us all to succeed!
Hope to see you next month at Victory. Hello to all of my OH friends, too! Hope all is well is your worlds.
Take care,
Leslie
