Home from the hospital

 Hi Everyone,

Had my gastric bypass on Tuesday morning and I just got home about 30 minutes ago.  Feeling tired, but ok.  Dr. Wynn wants me to stay on clear liquids until Saturday morning, then I move on to the pureed foods.  On the way home from the hospital the one thing that rattled around in my head was HOW am I going to be able to get in at least 64 ounces of fluid and 64 grams of protein each day, if I can barely get down 20 oz of fluid the last couple of days in the hospital.   Not to mention the vitamin, calcium, previcid  and urso forte.      I have my follow up with her on Friday, January 29th.

Well, think I'll walk around the house for a little bit and maybe take a nap.

Sounds like a plan...walk and rest.  Congrats on your surgery and of course you'll get all that you need in when the time is right.  How do you feel?

May God bless us in all of our endeavors.  May He forgive us for our frailties and our vanities and bless us to be prosperous in health, soul, and in life.

As the day goes on, I feel more achey and listless.  But I'm guessing that once I start the pureed diet, I'll begin to feel a little more energized. Also, I didn't take my multivite today so that may also be contributing to my tiredness. I have Tylenol w/codeine, so I think I'll take that tonight to help me sleep.

That's awesome, you got the surgery!! Congrats!! Now, the journey begins. It may be a little tough in the begining so hang in and think about the future and what amazing results are ahead. Get rest and listen close to the docs. Good luck and congrats again!!! I hope you start to feel a little better each day :)
