What to Pack to Hospital
Hey Ms. KBell5!
Not over packing is right on!
For me, I had to be at the hospital at 5:30am so the clothes I wore to the hospital, I wore them home. (as soon as you get home, you're gonna want to put on your pj's)
pack basic toiletries, very basic
Chap stick
a robe (I wore their hospital gown)
slippers
any of your medicines and or C-pap machine
Don't pack any books or magazines, the anesthesia makes it hard
to concentrate. Plus there is a TV in your room.
Here's a good tip: When your nurse comes in to check your temp and bp in the middle of the night make her/him get you up to walk or once their round is done they'll be back to get you up!
Good luck!

~Believe in Yourself~
I brought two night shirts (I was too big for regular size hospital gowns and too small for the larger ones)
short sleeve robe with a pocket (you will be walking with IV's, tubes, and all other kinds of things hooked up monitor ur heart. The pocket on the robe came in handy for the heart monitor)
Gas-X
Chap stick
Pair of socks
2 pair of panties
deodorant (u probably won't feeling like bathing in the first 24hrs)
Hope this was helpful.

Chapstick. A robe that buttons or opens/ties in the front, as you'll be hooked up to IV's. Socks. A pair of loose sweatpants to wear home.
Leave all of your jewelry at home -- I forgot to do this and then worried about the whereabouts of my engagement ring -- the hospital will not assume responsibility for anything of value. Also don't take walkmen, ipod, etc. for same reason.
I overpacked, didn't touch the magazine or book I had taken along, the room had tv and phone and I slept quite a bit from the pain meds.
Good luck!
