Just wanted to wish you the best of luck on Monday (not that you'll need it, you'll be in good hands).

Wow I didn't notice on the other board you were just two days after me. Are you going to Christiana or St Frances?

I choose Christiana, they are the best hospital around, in my opinion of course.  My surgery is 2 days after you, but I have a feeling mine will be postponed again -- waiting on insurance approval  There's a girl I work with that's having hers done at St Frances on the 25th of Aug. by Dr. Iragu.  Chrias has really great Dr's.  The only one I haven't met is Dr. Iragu.  I have no doubt that we will all be in good hands.

Dr. Irgau has done surgeries for at least 6 people I know. He has an amazing reputation.

Wishing all of you pre-ops safe and successful surgeries!

There is a site that was very helpful to me in the beginning, called www.thinnerself.com    where you can type in your weight, activity level, measurements . . . it will "predict" how much weight you will lose per week with RNY . . . it helped me stay on track.

I would recommend measuring yourself and charting that data on the site as well, as there will be some weeks where you don't lose any weight (called plateaus) yet you can still see the difference in your measurements.

Best of luck to you all!

Hi everyone. I had my surgery on Monday and Dr. Irgau says it went perfectly. Unfortunately early this morning I developed some bloody diarrhea, so Dr. Irgau is keeping me here a day longer to keep an eye on my hemoglobin levels.
