Plastic Surgery BCBS Delaware question

Does any body know the guidelines for plastic surgery after weight loss  for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Delaware insurance.  If so can someone please let me know.

For BC/BS it has to be medically nessesary. Your best thing is to build up documentation. Go to the Drs and document everything. Hope this helps. Joanne

Can you give me some examples of medically necessary.  So I can be sure what you mean about medically necessary

Many things can be medically necessary. Document any rashes, sores or anything caused by excess skin.  Back pain documented could make it medically necessary with the chest area. Excess skin could cause hygene problems , which causes irratation,rashes, ect. It might be medically necessary to get that corrected. I hope you get the picture. Basicly you have to show BC/BS it is going to cost more medically if you don't get it done. See you lighter. Joanne
