New to OH

Hi everyone.  My name is Lauren and I've just gotten my surgery scheduled with Dr. Peters at CHRIAS.  Just interested in learning about folks experience with Dr. Peters and with surgery at Christiana Hospital.

Hi Lauren,
Welcome to OH!  Dr. Peter's did my surgery.  He's the best, you're in good hands.  Actually they all are pretty great.
Dr. Peters is very low key, just really a down to earth guy.
Christiana hospital is great also.  The nurses are very RNY aware and do a great job.  Word to the wise, when the nurse comes in the middle of the night to take your vitals, get up and walk or they'll be back when they finish rounds to get you up!

My surgery is scheduled for the end of August/beginning of September.  I still have life skills classes, two nutritionist appointments, and my final medical clearance.  But, I've been cleared by cardiology, pulmonology, psychology, and have had two successful nutritionist appointments.

I am really excited, and a little nervous after reading some regrets postings, but after all the research I have done, I feel like I am going in with my eyes wide open.

I turned 30 this year, and am excited to start my new life!!
