Long time, No Post.
Sorry everyone, for not hangin' out in here. Been a bit off kilter lately. I wanted to drop in and let you all know some stuff. Some good, some not so good. First, the not so good.
Since this tme last year, I have gained about 15 pounds. Not a huge issue because going back to the basics with my shakes and no carbs usually will correct the problem and I can shed the pounds easily. Being motivated is the problem. I don't exercise enough and need to get off my lazy butt and do some walking. Pop tarts are bad. LOL.
I have had temporary guardianship of our granddaughter since February but we are taking her to Michigan to be with her Mom this coming Saturday. Things are looking a lot better there for my daughter so Karissa may stay there...we will see. If I see that it is not better by August, I weill go back and bring all 3 kids back to Delaware with me. Hopefully that won't be necessary.
Been having a battery of tests for kidney issues. This is important... about a year ago, I stopped taking my vitamins, B-12, and went back on all of my heart meds. Heart-wise, everything is great but due to our malabsorption issues with RNY and the fact that I haven't been taking my Vits...other problems are starting to surface. I realize what the cause is and have started back on the supplements, and getting back with the program. I am NOT going to continue sabotaging myself. I have too much to live for. My advice after trial and error...No matter how good you feel or how great we think we are doing, stay on the supplements. I went off them and have had chronic problems since. Bad Kathy.
The Back Bay Cafe is open for the season. Being the breakfast cook and seeing how slow business is, we may be discontinuing breakfast. We will go another 2 weeks and if it doesn't pick up, I will be out a summer job. We didn't sell $150 worth of food yesterday, all day. C'mon summer visitors....get down here quick, before I lose my job!!!
Everyone take care and I will try to stop in more often.

Hi Miamouse--
The Back Bay Cafe and Marina is located at the very back of Pot-Nets Bayside in Longneck, DE. We open at 8 am for breakfast and close at 10 or 11 pm, depending on how busy it is. We also rent Jet Skis, sell bait for crabbing, and carry a few general store items...milk, eggs, candy, soda, ice, etc. and some personal care items. Business will pick up alot more when all the schools in PA are out for the summer, since a good number of our summer residents are from there. Another week and we will be kickin'.

Kathy, So glad you did a post. You may help to save many who fail to take their suppliments. I hope all works out for you. How much does it cost to rent a jet ski ? This is something Debbie really wants to do when she gets healed. I think the opening of Long Neck Dinner has made an inpack on many bussinesses. It seems like everyone goes there now. See you lighter. Joanne
