Sunday Roll Call
The weekend was basically uneventful. The weather was so nice on Sunday. Ed put brakes on my car and fixed my windshield wiper arm. The bolt holding it in had loosened so the thing was wiping clear past the door frame. Today he will change the oil. Have to be sure it's all good before driving to Michigan on Wednesday evening. Have to get the van title signed over and have some papers notarized so I can finalize my legal guardianship of Karissa. I only have 3 full days out there so I'm going to try and see everyone.
I got some much needed work done around here. I finally got to digging through the piles and baskets of clothes and managed to make room in some dressers for my stuff. Ed hs a monopoly on the closet so I now share a couple of drawers with Alex.
I baked 23 dozen cookies to sell at the flea market/grand opening of the bait and tackle shop up on Rt 1, by Altlantic Cellular. Troop 105 will be there at 6am selling breakfast sandwiches, coffee, muffins, and my cookies to help raise funds for Relay for Life and summer camp. Please come by...It's next Saturday, April 4; from 6am till whenever...support our local scouts. Dont forget to visit my personal Relay for Life page at : www.main.acsevents.org/goto/scouts4cure2 Consider even a small donation, or a luminaria. Thank you.

Judy, It was a very quite weekend around here. I was home alone Friday Night and Saturday morning. My neighbors came down and wanted to take me out to dinner. I couldn't go for my grandkids were coming home at 5 so we went out for a late lunch. Saturday night I was making Homemade chow mein and my can opener broke. I was in my pjs so going to Walmart was out. I put everything away and went to bed. Sunday I bought a can opener and finished making my chow mein. It was easy now for most of the cooking was done.I made chicken and shrimp. It really turned out good. I sent some down to Debbie. She called and asked if I had any left for her and Kent wanted more for today. It must of really been good. I bought this old cookbook ( fund raiser style )at the thrift store for $.50 and it had lots of good recipes in it. The chow mein was one. I am also working on an Amish Friendship Bread which takes 10 days. Actually a friend at work gave a batter to me. I am on day 7 today. I will back it on Thursday. I will bring the recipe to the Victory meeting. In the mean time I will try to adapt it to a sugar free version and see if it works. See all lighter. Joanne
