Happy Rebirthday Elissa
Thanks everyone. I got to the gym by 7am. There are now 5 of us Losers all there early.
Lisa, Tony, an unamed lady, Chris and myself. Seems like the early birds get the worms. (LOL) Some of the folks have joined the Delaware Tons challenge. Of course all we talk about is exercise and food, or lack of. A little camaraderie among Losers and a little challange to encourage each other. I really look forward to chatting with others. We do have a common bond within the WLS groupies. I love it. I always felt like such an outsider and never a part of any group. Self image issues, I guess.
Spent the day with my Mom at the Dr's and dentist. My brother from Huston is here to help talk about some of my Mom's issues and future health care. We did that for a couple hours. Then the family, both brothers, sister-in-law, hubby & myself all went to Mrs Robino's for dinner. My DH got my favorite Veal parm, I got the chopped antipasta. MMMMMM. A little salad and a small piece of veal and 1 slice of bread@ butter was about all I could take.
Home now on my puter. Wanto to call my Roomie, T, to make sure she had a good day too.

Yes Joanne, Mrs. Robino's is at 8th & Union. It has been enlarged by 2 more houses. It is the only Italian resturant we goto. Nothing fancy, but the food is consistantly good. I have been going there for over 60 yrs. I know my Mom and Dad went there when she was pregnant with me. I've had many memorable times there. Funny when I was preparing for surgery 5 yrs ago that was 1 of the places I went for my last meals. I had a list of last meals. LOL Silly me thought I woulkd never eat there again. Well I have eaten there many times in the past 5 yrs, however, I just don't eat as much as I used to. Maybe some day we can have a meal there. ((HUGS)) Elissa
That's funny that you are talking about Mrs. Robino's. My parents used to take us there when we were growing up (in Harford County, Maryland!). Then when we moved to southern Chester Co., we went there often, too. And recently, my parents have been asking me if I would like to go there with them. Of course, I say, "Yeah, just tell me when." I'm betting I will get there soon, as they both love the place. Elissa, you are right...their food is always delicious and the prices are reasonable. We also went to anothe restaurant in Wilmington...I think it's name was "Hearn's." Do you remember that one? They always had a bowl of chutney on the table for an appetizer.
I chuckled when I saw your mention of "last meals." I did the same thing...for about six weeks or so prior to surgery, I went out to one of my favorite places once a week. And yes, I still eat at some of them, but I hardly eat out at all any more, compared to what I used to. I used to eat almost every meal out, and now I eat out about once a week (or less), and a regular meal lasts for two or three meals! Good for the budget, and the body! It's a double-winner!
Hope everyone had a good day, and is safe & warm in this little blast of winter!
Take care,
Leslie
