I got my medical clearence today!

Hi all,
I am a long time lurker but relatively new poster. I just got my medical clearence today. I have my pre-op appointment is this Friday and surgery is next Tuesday. I am so excited. I just the insurance approval. The surgeons office was going to submit it today to Blue Cross. How long did it take for you to be approved? What has been your experience with the band?

Hi Nicole,
I didn't have the band but I want to congratulate you on your upcoming surgery.  Work the tool like you know how and you will do just fine.

 Congrats on your up coming surgery, i am a little over a month out.... i didnt have the band.
I did see your question about the insurance though...... I also had BCBS/PPO of  DE. I was originally suppose to have my Surgery Oct 29th, the DAY before i went for my pre surgerical blood test to find out it has been rescheduled, because my insuruance denied it. I had to send an appeal and that took about a month so i had my surgery Dec. 3rd, But to top it all off i didnt have medical problems i was a healthy fat girl that was just way over weight! But if you have medical problems you might be okay with the 1st time it being submitted to BCBS....

I am hoping mine is ok. I have scheduled everything around this and it will be difficult to move things around. Plus my clearences expire in Feb. I do have co-morbidities of high blood pressure and diabetes. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Dr. Wynn is doing my surgery.
