Good morning - I am trying to be more conscientious to stop in and post not just read!  I am so glad this week is over, another busy one.  I think my plans for the weekend include some relaxing, it sounds like the weather could go either way tomorrow, so...depending on that I will stay home or venture out a bit.

Hi Joanne, I've already started on my weekend.  I went to Trader Joe's after work and you'll never guess who I ran into. OK I'll tell you. Dr Irgau. He hugged me and told me I looked great. I said I need to come to see him, but was waiting til I got 20 lbs off. He said he hoped I still get my labs done at least 1 time a year. I am due, but am a little behind cause I went to Hawaii for 2 weeks in December. OBTW I lost 25 lbs since November 9th. I upped the gym and stopped grazing.
Life is good,
Tonite I went to Shop Rite for my Mom and some old folks at the place I work 1 day a week,  I'm taking orders on Thursday, picking up Friday and will deliver it Saturday. The 1 lady is blind, the other doesn't drive. No family nearby to help.  I get my husband's military discount at Shoprite, so I don't have to charge them anything extra. They are on fixed incomes and it certainly makes me feel good.  If they need a ride my daughter does the transportation for me. If they need a Mr. Fixit, my DH can do that.  It is turning into a nice little part time business.

Tomorrow I'm getting up early to do highlight's in my neighbor's hair. Her sister is coming later to have her hair done. She is celebrating her 60th wedding anniversary. Imagine 60 yrs. WOW. I need to do my Mom's hair too, cause I am taking to see her sister and all my cousins, that is if we don't get too much snow. If it snows, I'm sure I'll be on snow removal duty. Joy Joy.

Sunday is my last day of the Christmas Season at Longwood Gardens. I will be stationed at the ice skating rink from 12:30 to close.  I pray I will stay warm. I have my long john's ready.

Monday I'll be at the gym by 6:30 then I give blood.  Seems I'm on the Life saver Blood program. They need B negative blood. Gosh my house is rarely quiet and I never have a minute to spare. Then I do better when I keep busy.

Okay darlin, take care and I hope to see you at Victory in 2 weeks. ((HUGS)) Elissa

Hi everyone...How is everyone doing?

I have had  a really crazy last couple of weeks hopefully things calm down here soon.  Its my weekend off and except for 4hrs tomorrow i am not working technically.  since i was promoted to supervisor last week i have been trying to touch base with the other crews so  i have to do that on my time...LOL  Tuesday was my first real day at learning stuff and actually having the role and low and behold with in 3 hrs i had to go perform an attitude ajustment as my boss put it...lol uughh sometimes adults are worse than kids.  This is going to be fun.

So i got my labs back that i was supposed to have gotten in early december but never got until last week.  Everyhting was good excpet my vit d.  That was at half the lowest acceptable limits so i now have to take 50000 units orally once a week, i m very curious to get that filled and see what they look like.

Im seriously going to try to get back to the qoutes of the day on monday . I know i tried this week but with the everything going on i havent had time to really get online. I already have one for then i got inmy fortiune cookie tongiht...LOl

I hope you all have a great weekend and stay warm!!!!

Good Saturday Morning.  (It's always "the next day" when I post in the roll call.

Friday was very strange...unsettling for me.  Apparently, Beebe's anesthesiology guy will not accept the cardiac clearance for my procedure of Monday because I haven't seen Dr. Dahr for evaluation since last January 8.  So my ablation is postponed until after my appointment with him on January 20.  I makes me mad because I scrambled all week to get labs, EKG, x-rays, transcripts and clearance letter faxed...and now at the last minute they aren't happy with it.  Oh well, my well-being is their first priority and I am glad they are being really cautious.

My daughter is really having depression problems and I can't seem to help her.  She's just so anxious about their situation and is at risk of relapsing into substance abuse.  I am scared for her.  The doctor has her on meds but I truly believe she is over-medicated because she is like a statue most of the time....has no clue what is going on around her.  Last night she wanted to go to Dover but all they will do is medicate her even more, then send her home in 72 hours.  I am watching her very closely.  I took the van keys away from her, which I threatened to do if I found out she was driving around wasting gas, running her crackhead friends around Lewes, and not using it to find work.  Well, she got caught trying to steal a bottle of soda at WaWa so she no longer has a car to drive.  If she needs to go somewhere, I will take her.  The van is in my name and I pay the insurance so I have that right.  Being so over medicated and driving is not very safe, OR smart.

Joanne, I was able to copy the guardianship application so it will save me $20.  Thanks for the suggestion.  I have to have 2 apps because there are 2 fathers.  Both have agreed that my intervention is what's best for the kids.  Once I get temporary guardianship, I can apply for the services we need for the kids.  Too bad the same services aren't available to these families trying to stay together.  There's more available if the family is separated.  Very sad statement about the system.

I got on the scale at Dr. Moise's office on Thursday...it said I weighed 169 pounds!  I told them that was WAY OFF.  When I got home and got on my scale, I am still at 155.    Whew.  I have however, cut out the sandwiches and carbs....back to the meat, eggs, fish and cheese.  LOL.  The old pouch is still working.

Saturday evening here (day late, several dollars short . . .). I finally got Comcast to fix the problems with our cable/phone/net connection, this after three visits from their techs. I have been going through internet withdrawal.

We are totally into the new house, it is 75% unpacked, the only boxes still sitting around are full of books, and outgrown toys/games. The kids have been here for the past two weekends, but staying at their grandmother's house during the school week as I can't transfer my son out of that elementary school until our official meeting with his IEP team on Monday. We have been keeping our move a secret from the school staff as that news will affect the outcome of our meeting.

I have been feeling anxious about finances lately, I have a feeling my hours are going to be cut back at work, so I've been looking around for something part time/weekends, but there's really nothing out there. This economy stinks. My fiance can't find any work, and we are now spatting about him being "too picky" about what jobs, if any, he's applying for. It's like he is so depressed he is just giving up looking. Frankly I have three children of my own to worry about, without a grown man acting like a child.

We got our first electric bill for the new house -- it covered only a 7 -day-period -- $235!!!! I called our rental agent and asked her to notify the landlord, there must be something wrong with the heat pump, they can't send someboy out until Tuesday. In the meantime the meter is spinning round and round, and so is my stomach worrying about the costs here.

I did catch a good meat sale at Safeway this week, beef roast and pork loin roast, $1.99 a pound, so at least we're eating well on the weekends when the kids are here. During the week we have been sticking to spaghetti and sandwiches to cut back on food expense -- and trust me those carbs are showing, my clothes are getting tight, even my bra LOL.

I did get my treadmill out of storage -- have gotten as far as wheeling it into a corner of the family room, where it is sitting collecting dust. I guess I am just too busy getting the house in order to even think about exercising for now. My body is aching (I have fibromyalgia) by the time I flop into bed at night, like an old lady LOL.

BJ, It is so good to see you on here. I was getting worried. Good luck with the meeting at school. I keep you in my prayers and know with time it will all sort out and get better. We started our weightloss group back up at the church on Monday Nights. It is a christian based program. We get weighed every week and exercise . We also do a book that comes with a CD. It is a small group and I think you would really enjoy it . Also it would be some me time for you. If you are interested we open the doors at 6:30 pm for exercising . The meeting starts at 7pm until 8:30pm.  Please feel free to call me anytime for anything. Even if you just need to vent . See you lighter. Joanne
