Weekend Roll Call

Good Morning Delaware ! I have a busy weekend planned in Lower Slower Delaware ! Today is movie day at our church. They are playing a double feature so parents can do last minute shopping. Beebe Hospital is doing a free movie at Midway at 10:00 a.m. My grandkids are going to see Bolt ! I want to see it too but I have to go get an Echo on my heart . I am trying to get back to what I need to get done. Bloodwork is next. I will get it done on my next day off. The kids have dress rehearsal after the movie. Their play is tomorrow. Alexus is singing a solo ! She has a bad cold but the show must go on ! I will call Monday to get her a Dr. appointment for she has had a nasty cough for 2 weeks. Hope all gets their shopping done this weekend. There is lots of last minute bargains out there yet . Have a Blessed Holiday ! See you lighter. Joanne

Trying to get into the spirit of things - its been hard.  I will have to try and shop today because I have nothing for my husband yet.  I feel so bad.  I hope to get my butt into gear today!  Wish me luck!

Debbie, I know it has been a tough year for us all.  I am not in the spirit this year. I did get a couple of things for my grandkids last night. I have put up no tree or anything. I just can't do it this year. I know next year will be better. You are in my thoughts and prayers and you know Tim understands. Hang in there and have a blessed Christmas. Joanne I know you are right - its been a bad year and next year will be better (I do hang on to that hope) although it just seems to get thinner every year that this illness stays with me.  I have tried everything that people have recommended and spent a small fortune.  Now my savings is gone but the pain lives on.  I didn't decorate my house the best this year.  I do hope that next year I want to do everything and will be able to do it just the same!  Tim has to do surgery next month for shoulder - its been bad since car accident and he can't take the pain anymore.  We just pray the surgery is the right move for him.  He has been going through a hard time and with me not being well makes it tough....Nothing like not having a support system for the support system huh.  Happy Holidays....Love, Peace and Joy to you and your family too!

Debbie, Your post takes me back to before my surgery. The Dr . was concerned about who was going to take care of me because my husband walked with a walker. I remember telling him my husband was guiet cabable of taking care of me spite his handicap.  As it turned out with all my complications, Bob did a very good job of taking care of me. I know in spite of pain you and Tim will take great care of each other. I really admire both of you guys strength. We can't take away the pain but we are always here to listen, let you vent or anything else. You are always such an inspiration to me and others. Take it one day at a time. Keep warm and pray. Hello Delaware folks . . . popping in to say I'm alive and well, stressed to the max with the move to the new house but trying to take it day by day. We had reserved a UHaul for this morning, my furniture has been stored in Annapolis, MD facility for two years now, we were going to drive down there first thing, get the UHaul, load it and bring it back up here for unloading today. Then the weather isn't cooperating -- and guess what -- neither is my mother, who informed us at 10pm last night that she had Christmas shopping plans for today and wasn't going to babysit while we did the moving. (Please keep in mind that she heard us make the reservations, discuss the date, etc. more than a week ago.) This is just the kind of bull**** my mother pulls on me all of the time to sabotage whatever I am trying to do. Rather than beg her to babysit, I just played it off like she is not causing me any problems and I will reschedule the truck . . . (I didn't let on to her that I think it is too muddy today to move furniture). So . . . Wednesday will be the day, and if we have to take the kids with us, so be it.

Does anyone know Kathy's phone number? We could use a hand unloading the truck late Wednesday afternoon for an hour or so, I could pay her hubby $25 for his time if he's interested?

Hi BJ,
Ed and I are both working now.  He got hired at Perdue in the vehicle maintenance garage in Georgetown.  He starts Tuesday with orientation, and will start real working on Wednesday.  Alex and his friend Sammy might be interested in helping you though.  I will ask them and get back to you here, ok?  Keep checking the message board as I will post here what they say when I ask.  Alex goes to church every Wednesday night but that's not until 6pm., and they ARE out of school for the Christmas break.  I'll let you know.  If they go about it the Boy Scout way, it won't cost you anything.(LOL)

Kathy, What hours is Ed working ? My son also just started at Perdue. He did his orientation last week and starts tomorrow. He works 10 am to 6 pm.  He is working in shipping.  Sounds like 2009 is going to be a good year for all ! Hope you have a blessed Christmas. See you lighter. Joanne

BJ, If Mom will not Babysit , I will  !   FREE !  Just give me a call and know I am here if you need anything.  My house is always full of kids . I know everything will work out for you. Just have faith and keep your head up. I got to say I am proud of how you handled Mom this time. I do think she is going to be lost without you to B- - - H at !   Be kind to her anyway , even if it is hard.  After all she is your Mother. You may not like what she does but , you love her !  Sounds like she likes control ! I can't wait to see that post " I 'm in my new place "  Know you are in my thoughts and prayers. See you lighter. I know EVERYONE it seems is having issues this season of one kind or the other I hope we can all enjoy the holidaysat least for a while and put our concerns away for a bit.
