Friday Roll Call
Hello all from Lower Slower Delaware. I have been so busy since going back to work. They are putting on my new roof on Tuesday. I will be so happy when it is done. Monday they are coming from the TV station for an interview, Yesterday they came from the newspaper to take a picture. What is everyone up to ? I was off Christmas Day but asked if I could work and let someone else have off. I think it will be a bad day for me so I would rather be busy working. See you lighter. Joanne
Way to go on the new roof, Joanne! What a cool thing about the newspaper and TV station; a great way to thank those involved in helping with the roof issue.
Friday was a little slower at work than usual, probably due to all the leftover food we prepped for the Rehoboth Chamber of Commerce event Thursday night. We had enough back-up for 500 people and attendance was great but there was so much leftover that we can use all of it, saving us preppers some work for the next couple of days. I actually got out of work and was home before dark! A first since starting work on the 3rd. I will also be working Christmas Day, and most likely New Years Eve and day as well. Just extra money for us. I can handle that.
The Caroling at Holly Lakes was a fun time, even though it was pretty cold and damp out. All the cabins were decorated and lit up all festive-like, and the music was nice. Troop 105 worked during the week to get the pathways lit up. I manned the free hot chocolate/cookie tent, and the rest of the troop had various duties such as parking cars, directing traffic, and supervising the bonfires. There were door prizes from the merchants who had cabins set up, and Santa and the Mrs. were there for all the little ones. The Indian River Fire Department was stationed at each bonfire. Children from local school bands and choirs performed, and the DJ played Christmas music and had games for the kids. The Nanticoke Indian Tribe once again provided the People Movers that brought folks in from the parking areas. Thank you to Kenny Hopkins and the LNBA for a fine evening. The troop will commence campground clean-up throughout Saturday, and bug out Sunday morning. They really enjoy this annual event.

WOW...Its my weekend off and im not working anywhere....WHOOOHHOOO. I even turned down an extra shift on friday, not that i could afford to but physically I had to. I ran a bunch of errands on friday and had my little sister spend the night since we thoguht my dad may end up in the ER since his DR doesn't have off hours coverage. He should have gone but didnt...his BP was 200/118 and stayed that way for a few hours. UUGHHH. Anyway my lil sis, shes 11, and I hung out and were in bed by 10 we were both so tired. Saturday....a 5th birthday party for my partners son, then a christmas party at a friends house. At my partners place im really allergic to his dog and my breathing ( gotta love asthma) got bad so there was my day trying to breathe. later at the Christmas party my breathing was still not good so I called it a night early and came home ,loaded up on meds and crawled into bed. Sunday we had our family holiday brunch at michaels, my grandmother has since she doesnt want to cook anymore. Now im home trying to finish decorating/cleaning and will wrap gifts. I hope everyone had a good weekend .
