Ok so i have been busy the last 2 weeks but i manged to make some awesome cookies from my childhood that i loved.  Now im posting it as my mom makes it.  I really think if you substitute  splenda for sugar these aren't all that unhealthy.  I make mine with sugar and i can eat 2 without any issues ...im soooo happy ( they are small).

BOILED COOKIES

1/4 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 cup milk
3 cups quick oats ( must be quick cooks in a minute not old fashioned )
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup peanut butter ( any kind crunchy or creamy)
nuts are optional (hint i use crunchy peanut butter if i want nuts)

bring to boil the sugar, cocoa, milk and butter.Let cook for 1 minute ( yes thats only  one )

remove from heat and add remaining ingredients quickly.

use a spoon ( teaspoon or soup spoon ) and place in spoonfuls on wax paper and let harden. ( time dpends on temp and enviroment) I let mine set about 30-45 minutes.

 you get approx 36 cookies

SHARE, EAT, and ENJOY.

Amy, I think you could sneak some protein powder in this one and not even know it. I will have to try that. See you lighter. Joanne
