Good Morning from Lower Slower Delaware . What is everyone up to today ? Are you shopping on line ? Yesterday I had the kids cleaning and I was cooking. I gave them each a chore list for the week. I let them switch chores as long as all of it got done. They really worked together and got it all done for one day at least.  I am going to work on my room some more today. Hope all has a blessed day. See you lighter. Joanne

I have a lot of cleaning up to do so im going to do that until i lay down to nap before work around 1 or 2.  I have my christmas tree up which is really early for me...but i had to see if the tree stand my parents got at goodwill for me would fit and once its up it was staying.   I have the lights on it and the kids will come down one day in the next week or so to decorate it.  Well I have a pumkin pie in the oven i should check...i made a homemade one for thanksgiving and had some filling left ( from scratch not pumpkin from a can either) the crust is buught though, so im using that up. try to get soem fresh air today..its really not as cold as i thought it would be.

Good Morning Joanne and Delaware,

I am off to Wilmington today, my friend was scheduled to have the Lap band surgery on 11/19 and on 11/18 at 3pm Dr. Wynn's office called her and told her that she was never cleared by PMRI, so I am taking her up to Wilmington today for this appointment.  I will be hitting Costco and my son's high school.  Still nothing for in the job market, I am sending off an application today for a job in Salisbury.  Thank God I have unemployment, I don't know what I would do without it.  I did venture out on Saturday to Salisbury shopping, the stores were dead.  I couldn't believe it, Kohls probably had about 20 cars in their parking lot.  The busiest store we went to was KMart, guess everyone will be getting discount store presents this year.  I have cookies to bake this week for my church's cookie fund raiser and a parade to attend on Saturday in Seaford.  My church is having a float and our Praise band will be on it singing and our youth will be passing out candy canes.

Hope everyone has a fun filled week.

Deanna

Christ in you the hope of Glory!!!!

Monday was a bit hectic emotionally for me.  Sarah, Jason, and the kids are still here as their utilities are still shut off.  Delaware Electric Co-op took the meter right off the property for non-payment, and the water will be shut off next week if it doesn't get paid.  All 3 kids are sick with upper respiratory and ear infections, and Riley also has pink eye.  His meds upset his tummy so of course, he's yakking all the time too.  I can't seem to get Sarah motivated to get on the phone and try to get help for herself and the kids.  She's already been to Social Services and because she had to work during the time her paperwork was supposed to be turned in, they have to wait until next month now to apply for emergency assistance again.  I honestly can't keep them that long.  Number 1, there just isn't enough room here for 5 more people and all of their stuff.  The kids aren't getting the sleep they need because they are bunking either on the floor or the couch.  The house is cluttered with baskets of clothes that are both clean AND dirty and it's just wearing me down.  The whining and crying is the worst part.  Poor Jason has all 3 kids most of the time so it's hard for him to find time to go looking for work.  I know he is frustrated too. (Sarah has a job so she's gone alot of the time)

On a lighter note, I DID get hired at Victoria's Restaurant in the Boardwalk Plaza Hotel.  I start Wednesday morning at 6:30 a.m.  It couldn't have come at a better time.  I will train right through Sunday, then next Monday and Tuesday, I will open the kitchen by myself, with one other cook.  I'm more anxious than nervous.  I know how to run a restaurant kitchen but it's always nerve-wracking at a new place until you adapt to their way of doing things.  Wish me luck!
