I swore I would never go shopping on Black Friday, but my daughter called around 10 this morning asked me to go with her to buy some clothes.  We had fun and missed a lot of the crowds by going a little later in the morning.  No way would I get up that early to shop.  She got some great bargains and was very happy with herself.  I did not buy anything.  I really didn't need anything...I wanted a few things but didn't really want to spend the money.  So who else ventured out?

I have never shopped on Black Friday.  It always seems like the best sales happen when I'm broke.  LOL.  We really can't spend anything right now anyways.

We did our 3 hours of bell ringing at the Super Fresh.  Next time, we will do just 1 hour at a time.  The weather report said it was 54 but it sure felt colder.  I did my share of whining about my numb toes and fingers.  We were posted at the exit, between the outer and inner doors so we weren't out in the wind at least.  I've done the bell ringing before and I am always amazed at how many people give during the holidays.  The Salvation Army helps people year round, not just at holiday times.  I was also surprised at how many non-givers can't seem to make eye contact as they passed us by.  Everyone was greeted with a wish for a happy holiday season whether they gave or not.  Some people even gave is dirty looks, so yesterday was full of mixed feelings about people.  Alex and his friend and fellow Scout Sammy will be at Super Fresh today from 10-11 a.m.

The leftovers are almost gone now, even the 1/2 ton of potato salad I made.  Alex ate a full Thanksgiving meal for breakfast.  I ate turkey 2 times and had one slice of my sugar free pie.

I hope everyone has a fine weekend.

I shopped on line Friday, and got some pretty good deals on Amazon.com.  Every hour they had a gold box special.  My daughter thought I would drop her and the neighbor girl off at the Christiana Mall.  On the busiest day of the year.  Silly girl, that answer was NO WAY!
My husband is golfing today (saturday) so I think I might take the kids to the movies.  They'll like that.
I'm actually cooking a turkey breast today.  Since we went to my sister's on Thanksgiving, we don't have all the leftovers.  I'll just cook a mini Thanksgiving dinner for them.
Have a great weekend!

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving at our Long Neck home.  Had 3 daughters, spouses and 2 grandchildren...a full house.  Everyone ate well, and then had a rousing game of UNO with the little ones.  Stayed away from the outlets, but did drive downtown and enjoyed the lights.  Just got back to NJ after a 5 hr drive....

I went out black friday and saturday as well. which would be why i havent been on here.  I was also house/dog sitting for firends of mine and i had some issues with their computer.  Anyway i made the mistake of going to walmart in prices corner...UUUGGGHHHHHH.  Yes  i got awesome deals for the most part, i bought myself a nd my little sister new coats for $8 each.  I was in line at 0130am they didnt open until 5am.   The managemnet and the staff there did a horrible job of organnizing and did next to nothing to keep the apporx 100plus people who didnt wait in line from pushing and cutting into the line that approx 200 had been waiting in some dsince 11pm thursday night.  They did have two state police there but they were just to keep fights from happening ( whihch i heard there was one at the back of the line).  No store employees had a sales flier and hardly anyone could tell oyu where things were. I discussd this with my dad last night and he wants to call walmart corporate and complain for me about them allowing unsafe conditions , i did confront the store manager and security  with no results,  he was glad no one got hurt.  With all that said i did get some things and finally got out of the store around 8am.  I had to go back and let the dog out then it was off to the mall. I found some really great deals at pennys there door busters went til 1 so i took advantage.  I saved $159 at pennys and spent only $100 getting clothes for all the kids.   I hit a couple other stores at the mall and indulged in some haagan dazz peanut butter cho**** cream--- about 5bites/licks then tossed it.....mmmmyummmy. I ended at value city in elsemere i was driving by and saw that they were going out of business and i had no idea they had filed for banckruptcy too. They have hardly anything left. Saturday- back to walmart to retrurn some things.  Then i went to kmart and ross.  I found some good deals at ross too.   saturday still had good deals and less people not too bad.  I have more thanhalf my shopping done  its really just the adults  now i have to finish. Im home now and have to finsih cleaning up geting the apt in order  from thanskgiving since my mom  was realluy the only one to help me clean up and there were like 5 other adults here .......
