Hi Amy,
I'm guilty of being a lurker.  I've really been in a funk lately.  I am very concerned about Joanne and have devoted time every day to prayer for her family as Bob makes his transition.  I haven't seen her post for awhile so I am sure that's a sign of things to come.  God bless her and Bob, and the family in the coming days and weeks.

I haven't been particularly busy but have been very distracted and worried by financial issues. With Ed out of work, and me being on disability, there's barely any money coming in.  I have stayed on track with my eating though, so I guess that's good.  I saw my PCP on Wednesday and she ordered another set of labs to monitor my iron levels.  If my hemoglobin and CBC is normal, we will postpone iron infusions.  Then on Thursday, I saw the Gyno for a consultation regarding the uterine ablation to stop the hemmoraging.  Pending the hemoglobin results, I will have the ablation soon. If it's low, the PCP will get me built back up so I can have the procedure.  Here's hoping it's all a go.  I've been playing with about 8 or 9 pounds over the past few weeks so I've been discouraged about that.

If anyone out there in the Millsboro/Longneck area knows of any work available, drop me a note.  Desperate times are coming.  I am also considering selling my golf cart and  our African Grey Parrot, that's how bad things are getting.  The two will bring us enough cash to stay afloat for a couple of months. The parrot is 4 1/2 years old --sings, chirps, whistles, and chats his head off (he swears too), and the golf cart is a 1992 Yamaha--all new batteries and battery tray, and new paint job, with a roof and windshield, and vinyl cover.  The charger doesn't work and we don't know why so we are having it looked at.

One of Ed's recovery buddies gave us a huge bag of fresh caught Togfish and we had that for dinner one night..  It was soooo good.  Tonight, Sarah, Jason and the kids are coming over for steak on the grill.  I dropped the 8 pounds in pretty quick order once I stopped shoving all the carbs in my gullet.  Meat, eggs, cheese....meat, eggs, cheese----LOL.

wow there has been a lot on your plate.....at least the plate of life.
Ive been wondeirng how joanne was doing my self but i didnt want to ask, i figured they would be taking as much time with the family as they could.  My thoguhts are with her and her familya s well.

Work is so scarce these days , they keep threatning lay offs where i work and a friend of mine just had an 18% decrease in pay and no guarantee of hours...uughhh.  I wish i knew somethign for ya down that way. Up here i know a few places at the mall are hiring which would probably be temporary but hey anything is better than nothing.  I really hope this economy is able to bounce back at some point.

Im cooking a pot of chili right now so that will be my meals for the weekend, good luck onthose carbs.

Well hopefully we will some more on here even if its just a line a or two.

Take care

Hi Amy & Kathy,
I've been on the quiet side.  Still check out the site daily though.  I just had my year check up with Dr. Peter's.  He
was very pleased with my progress, no complications, no more asthma, sleep apnea or high blood pressure and I've lost 123 pounds since surgery!  Yay me!
I started Christmas shopping for the kids.  I wrap as I get them to keep them from snooping.  Going to my sisters for Thanksgiving.  She's always so considerate, she asked if I needed any special dishes or foods fixed a special way.
Kathy, I'm just like you, if I stay away from the carbs, I can loose weight so I try to keep them at a minimum.  I track on
Mydailyplate.com to help keep me in check.
Amy, I hate black Friday!  No way would I go shopping, I might get arrested the first time someone snatches something out of my hands!!

Everyone take care,
Judy

Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven't been posting but alot has been going on with me as well.  I do not have a computer at home so I try to catch up on this site when I am at work but there have been alot problems here at the office so I haven't been able to post.

I feel for you Kathy with Ed being out of work as my husband has had no work lately either and we don't foresee him getting any soon either.  Its tough with just my income and the holidays coming.  I guess there won't be alot of gifts around the tree this year. I am thankful for my job though but hear all the time of layoffs.  Scary!

I have had family health problems and have not been doing well myself with an arm injury.

I think of Joann often and always keep her in my prayers.
