Sad and Disappointed!

Well here we go... i big shock to me today


Tomororw my surgery WAS scheduled.... Well i go today to Christiana Care to get my PRESURGICAL blood test.... as i arrive i sit in the chair to register.. well come to find out my surgery has been CANCLED!!!!!!! Talk about PISSED OFF....... i am so hurt and disgusted!

The day BEFORE??? seriously..????  here i starved for like a darn week to get prepared for my very special day on a liquid diet....

I started a appeal and i have a call in to my PCP. for a "diff" letter... and i believe i will be sending a claim into the insurance commisioners office as well....

This is a Error on their part including Dr. I's office...
The paper the Carla gave me with the BIG circle around it is what i had done.... so WHY are they  saying NO now.....

Sorry for venting freinds.. just very upset!

But everything happens for a reason... they did put me in for NOV 10th but still.. i was ready for tomorrow!

This happened to a friend of mine also.  It really sucks that the insurance companies wait until the day before to inform you that your surgery is cancelled.  Actually this happened twice to my friend.  Her surgery is now scheduled for Nov 19th. 

Hang in there, write those appeal letters and you will hear something soon.

Oh how well I understand your disapointment.. Remember one thing : The insurance company wants you to get discussed and give up. My surgery was sheduled on a Tuesday. I got a call the Thursday before and they said I wasn't approved yet and wanted another patient to switch dates with me. The other patient refused. I had already put in for sick leave and FMLA for I was having open RNY. Monday afternoon before they called and said they got my approval and I was back on for the next morning. Hang in there and remember everything happens for a reason. You will probly hear good news soon but do all appeals that are posible. See you lighter. Joanne

ummm. this was why my drs office would not schedule until the approval letter was received.  Saves a lot of disapointmnet and frustration.  You might not need to appeal...they could just be missing something..

damn im so sorry to hear  that.... that is just wrong.  I hope you can contact the insurnace company and get things worked out.  GOODLUCK!!!

I know you are upset but you are right everything works out in the end.Hang in there.I was just thinking about you i actually stopped by your page. Im sure it will get worked out.I know it's more annoying then anything. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you all so much for the replys... its just so frusterating... You get your self so prepared for this BIG day and BAM... its not gonna happen when u wanted/ expected it too....

I strongly believe everything happens for a reason.... and its in god's hands... Its god's delay... not god's denial.....

I have been on the phone with Dr. I office my PCP and Ins. company! wasnt to pleasent to the ins. company! but i honestly dont think i have to.... If they approved all the other test.... a FLAG should have went up then... NOT the day before...
It will work out i hope.....
