Good morning Delaware ! It is right COLD in Lower Slower Delaware ! Where is Debbie C. with them fleece blankets? Bob has not sleep well for 2 nights so needless to say I am tired today. I think I am going to get my laundry done and dinner in the crock pot early . Maybe he will take a nap and I can too. I have to admit I was a little grousy at 5:30 this morning after little sleep in 2 days. The kids are off to school so I will go do meds and fix breakfast. My 1st load of laundry is done so I will get it in the dryer and another load in. Iam putting kelbasi and baked beans in the crock pot for dinner. What are you cooking today ? Kathy, Ed and Deana my thoughts and prayers are with you and your employment situiation. To everyone complaining about working today, count your blessings. I really miss working myself. I am torn between taking early retirement to get money while I am out with Bob or waiting it out with no money coming in thru me. I have to now pay my share of the states medical insurance , life insurance , ect. to keep my benefits . I can take early retirerment November 24th so I have to make a decision soon and start the paperwork. My faith pulls me thru. I know I have Many Blessings and alot to be thankful for each day. Hope allhas a blessed day ! See you lighter. Joanne

Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven't posted for awhile but alot going on personally and at work.  We have been very busy at the office.  I also have not been feeling well -I have a torn muscle/ligament in my shoulder.  I have been in alot of pain and finally went to my PCP about it.  She gave me a very detailed exam of my arm/shoulder and decided to put me on an anti-inflammatory med.  I can't sleep at night for the pain and sometimes I forget and turn over on the bad shoulder-OUCH! I am not sleeping at all and really dragging. If the meds don't help, I will have to get an Xray done. On a good note-I haven't seen my PCP in 3 months and she was pleasantly surprised that I have lost 15 pounds!  Yeah!

I love Fall and this crisp air.  It makes me feel more like getting outside and doing things except now I can't because I can do no lifting with my arm for a couple of weeks.  Darn!

Anyhow,  again I am sorry I haven't posted for awhile but I do not have a computer at home (a viru**** it) and I get too busy at here to post every day.  BUT I do read your posts and think of you all often.

Wednesday was a horrible day for the most part.  I had a really bad food day.  I started with a sausage pattie with cheese....not so bad, and as usual, I couldn't fini****  The rest of the day just went downhill from there.  I ate so much junk right along with my "good" food...a yogurt, toast with peanut butter and jelly, granola bars, baked tortilla chips with cheese sauce, sodas...then Ed and I went to (OUCH) dunkin donuts and had coffee and I ate (YES, I ATE) 2 donuts.  OMG.  I didn't get icky from them either.  DARN IT.  For dinner, I made meat loaf patties, mashed potatoes and sliced beets, and had a small salad.  I ate everything on my plate, and even had some more granola before I went to bed.  See?  We all fall off the wagon from time to time.  Today will be a better day, as I plan to get back on the protein drinks, cottage cheese, and yoogurt.  I think that's why I slip...I get so sick of those 3 foods.  I just want to eat normal food once in a while.

I'm not going to keep beating myself up over this setback.  There's alot going on here right now so one can expect to have some weak moments.  I am going to a pumpkin patch with my granddaughter's kindergarten class today and we have scouts tonight so I will be otherwise occupied, which makes it easier to stay on track.

Joanne, I will tell Mr. Mick tonight that you said November 15 will be ok for doing your lawn work, and we will take a head count of how many boys will be helping that day.  I mentioned your husband's name to him and he asked if Bob was a firefighter.  I didn't know so he's not sure if he knows Bob or not.  I'll get back to you tomorrow (Friday) to let you know the details.  Take care, my friend.

Kathy, My husband is not a firefighter. He has been disabled since 1988.  Most people know him from being at Uncle Willie's. He would hang there at night, drinking coffee and talking to everyone who came in. I use to tell him they needed to put him on payroll for he brought in customers. People would come in, buy a cup of coffee with something to eat and sit and talk to him. You probly saw him there yourself but didn't realize it was my husband. He had long hair, which he pulled back in a pony tail. One eye, wore a railroad hat and walked with a walker. Helen ( the 84 year old clerk ) at Uncle Willies is his best friend and like his mom. Even tough he was handicap himself he would mop the floor and take out the trash for the girl's there. Many nights he would stay to closing to make sure they got in their cars safe. He always sat in the first booth and everyone knew him as Big Bob. He was never Big. Very skinny. He got his hair cut after chemo when it started falling out by handfulls. Most of the locals know him. He was always helping someone with something or telling them how to fix it. He would always be on someone's roof or under their home to fix something for them. He did more on other people's homes then he did on ours. Other people always came first before himself. He drives an old beat up blue and white pick up and always had Cuddles with him unless it was hot out. Cuddles would always look like she was driving the truck while she waited for him.  Hope all is going good with you today. They uped Bob's meds so he is sleeping. See you lighter. Joanne
