Good afternoon Delaware ! It is right cold in Lower Slower Delaware ! What is it like up North ? I have had a busy morning. Bob's twin sister came to visit him. They have not spoken in about 10 years due to a petty arguement. The visit started off bad with Bob telling her to leave his house. About 1/2 hour later he said he wanted to talk to her. They had a good visit after that .This really makes me feel good that they have ironed out their problems.I have really been praying about this. To show you what my day has been like. I started this post many hours ago and had to leave the computer so I will now say Good Evening Delaware ! LOL!!!! Hope all had a blessed day. I know I have !!! See you lighter. Joanne

Good evening to you!

It is cold all right . . . and we are trying to keep the heating bills down . . . the thermostat is set real low during the day while the kids are at school, I've turned it up for their bath times and bedtimes. Last night my mom got up and turned it down again, it was so cold this morning, I hate to get out of bed when it is chilly LOL.

Family is really important.  Especially at this really difficult time.  I am glad they came to an understanding and made peace with each other.  God bless them both and you too.

Hi Joanne,

Even though my dad is not in good health, but not nearly as ill as your husband, I can somewhat relate to what you posted about. My dad and his brother haven't spoken in about 30 or so years, and this summer they got together and met face to face at my cousin's house in PA. (My uncle & aunt live near Pittsburgh, but two of their daughters live outside of Philly in Bucks Co.) I haven't seen my cousins since we were all kids playing at my grandmother's house, and I am anxious to see them all and their spouses and kids. Hopefully that will happen either over the holidays or in the spring of 2009. Anyhow, I was very happy that my dad and his brother  started talking/communicating again, especially since both of them are getting up there in years (Dad turned 83 in April) and their health is starting to go downhill. I don't think they discussed their problems, though...but maybe that isn't necessary.

Anyhow, my thought and good wishes are with you & your family.

I'm getting ready to leave for Florida on Wednesday, so tomorrow will be spent doing laundry and packing, and running a few last-minute errands.

I may or may not be at Victory tomorrow night; I am going to wait & see how the day goes.

Hope all is well with you & the other posters...

Take care,
Leslie

Family is soooo important.  My dad has 7 sibling and in the last 15 years i have seen only one uncle and his wife and their 2 kids ( thats only been in the last 3 years) due to a petty argument that happened after my grandfather died.  I wish i could see  the others. I know my dad ( and uncle i see) made some attempt with  2 of them about 2 years ago but it didnt work well for anyone.  Oh well. I will enjoy what i have and maybe some time in the future i will see/ meet all my aunts and uncles.  I  think i saw a good quote about family i will have to try and find it for tomorrows quote of the day.  But we cant forget some family we are given by birth and others we meet along the way they just have different genes then we do.

Give someone a hug it will make you both  feel better whether you need it or not!!!!
