Good Tuesday morning!
Good morning everyone:
What a beautiful Fall morning. I love Fall and the cooler air!
I started back to the gym last night with Joanne. I hadn't been for a week because of a hurt shoulder but it felt good to be able to exercise again. I am careful with the arm lifts etc though-don't want to overdo it and be in pain again.
I would love for some of you to give me any of your "easy" dinner receipes. I am having trouble with cooking dinner at nights after work as I don't want to put alot of time into it. I am not a fancy cook but I know I need to to plan ahead alittle better. Any ideas?
I go back to Dr. S this Friday-my first appointment in a month and I have a month of food journaling to give him. I wonder what he will say????
Have a great day, Debbie
P.S. Amy did you get my PM to you about the clothes??

I sure did and i replied but just a little bit a go.
I have a recipe book that is all crock pot recipes they are simple and for the most part seem pretty healthy or easy enough to alter, unless your looking at the desserts. I got it at borders for about $5 they always have cook books on the sale/ red tag racks.

Folks are going to a private gym/program on Rt. 24 about a mile away from the intersection of Rt. 1 . . . you have to be a patient of Dr. Sofronski's or one of the other partners in his practice to join, I believe, the membership is paid for out of their surgeon program fee or something like that.
I wrote and asked if he would open the program to other WLS'rs who aren't his patients, but haven't heard back, unfortunately. I would go 3-4 times a week if I could join there -- it is right across the street from my job.

We go to a gym that is located at my surgeons office near Rehoboth. I have to attend there a year as that gym is included in the program fees I paid up front to my surgeon. After that I can go anywhere which at that time I will join the new gym that has opened here in Millsboro (Rt. 113) near Roses Department store. I work in Millsboro so it would be closer for me to go a gym here.

I am loving this time of year -- the temps are just right for me LOL.
Today was much better than yesteday, thankfully! I went to a job interview this morning (the special ed advocacy job I wrote in about earlier) and it went very well -- I would really like to work for families, right now I do a lot of volunteering in the same area. It's a part-time job, so if hired I would be juggling two part-time jobs, but I think I could handle that. It really all depends on the babysitting, to be honest -- my mom watches my kids for me right now -- but with her mood swings she could pull the rug out from under me at any time so I need to formulate a plan "B" just in case!
The scale showed another pound lost this morning, officially at 171.4 now from 179 in mid-September -- I'll take it! Hopefully by the end of this week I will see the 160's again? I am trying SO hard to eat the right things and the right amounts. It is a lot tougher to get rid of the regain than it was the first time 'round, that's for sure. I am really having to stay away from carbs, the littlest amounts cause my scale to go haywire.
Hope everyone else had a good day.

I found by staying low on the carbs I could lose again. I was told not to do too much protein either....I was a little heavy on my AM shake 2 scoops plus light OJ and water mix. So I had to drop it....and so far things have been fine. I just get very concerned that if I don't feel like eating during the day that I at least get most of my protein in the AM. My nut was telling me its very hard on the kidneys to process so much at one time. I don't know about that - I do know that since I took away the cereal and replaced it with a shake in the AM I am losing more.
Good luck with the job. Two part times have to be tough to do. I do one full time and I have had more than enough.....
Enjoy the day!
