Weekend check-in

Hey guys you made my mouth water.  I LOVE steamed shrimp but my husband doesn't so I don't get to eat it very much.  Wish I was a member of the AmVet I would be there for steamed shrimp night!  I also heard if you are a member they have line dancing one night doing the week (and Karaoke)-great exercise!! I haven't been able to find a fun place to do some kind of dancing for exercise anywhere around here.   Like JoAnn suggested steamed shrimp night would have been a group event!!

I have a girlfriend who works every Sunday evening as a bartender at Amvets . . . I don't know if she could sign us in during the week or not? I also know a couple of "locals" that frequent the bar there (ahem!!!) but how reliable they would be to meet us on a particular day or time to sign us all in, THAT I don't want to place any bets on LOL!! (They are my boyfriend's drinking buds, actually.)

I have been in there a couple times when they have live bands (usually Friday/Saturday nights) and yes it is a blast dancing, everybody there looked as silly as I did and the next morning I was so sore -- must have moved muscles I didn't even know existed!!!!

I will keep working on this Amvets shrimp angle so we can plan a get-together later this fall. It would be cool to meet and eat there, maybe in place of one of our bi-monthly meetings at the church?

I LOVE to dance and yes it is wonderful exercise!!  I like old time rock and roll but will try to do some country line dancing!!

BJ, Please do work on that. I am sure all would be open for doing it in place of a support group meeting. It would really be nice if that Red Lobster opened in Long Neck we keep hearing about. We will all keep our eyes and ears open for ideals. It would be nice to do a get together once a month.  See you lighter. Joanne
