Good Morning Delaware !!! Life is back to normal in Longneck. I spent yesterday unpacking, doing laundry, house work and all the fun stuff.  I even had to cook dinner. That was the best part of the cruise. NO COOKING !!  I still have more laundry to do today. My house looks like no one did anything while I was gone. Except the frig is empty. No bread, eggs, milk or anything. I don't understand it. No one can do grocery shopping , laundry or vaccum ? There was 2 adults here with 2 kids while I was gone. Debbie was so glad to come down and see her Dad so she took care of his needs while I worked on getting the house back in order. Hope all has a blessed day. See all lighter. Joanne

Welcome home, Joanne.

Boy can I ever relate to the housework issue.  Everyone that lives here in my house are old enough to be responsible for their own messes but do you think for one second they would take care of things for themselves? OMG!!!  The dishwasher is inches away from the sink but will they put anything in it?  The vacuum sweeper works real well, but no one will use it unless I kick them or something.  They will go into MY BATHROOM and steal MY TOWELS instead of picking up all of theirs from their bedroom floor and washing them.  JEEZ LOUISE!  And the empty fridge?  Let's just use the last piece of cheese and NOT tell mom so she can go get some more.  Drink my last soda one more time and I am ready to kill. LOL.

Sorry you had issues during your trip but glad things worked out for you.

Kathy, Glad to see you on board. We have the same problem. Dishwasher so close to the sink. I load the dishwasher every night at 9 pm. I tell them all the kitchen closes then. I am almost caught up now. How are things going with you ? See you lighter. Joanne

Judy, It was really great ! We went to Baltimore Saturday night. Spent the night in a hotel where we left the car. We took a shuttle tothe airport which was just around the corner. Bob was out of it. We were scared. He was cold and didn't look like he had to much life in him. He remembers nothing until Monday afternoon. Everything went smooth. They gave us first class seat on the plane. I didn't realize they had such comfort. Our problems started when we got on the bus in Florida. The bus had a lift but once Bob was loaded it wouldn't start and the lift wouldn't work to get him off. About an hour later they learned how to use the manuel part and got him off. He had to be carried on the bus and carried off at the port. Remember we paid $35 a person for transportation from pier to ship ahead of time. We were worried they wouldn't let him on the ship. We got on just in time to eat, get him in bed and go to a support group meeting. Monday we were at sea and it was rocky. We got to Haiti on Tuesday. Ruth and I got off just long enough to do a little shopping. Talk about pushy people !!!!! Well I can Barter good so we got some good deals and I have no problem saying NO! NOT INTERESTED MON ! Our waiter was from Jamaica ! He really took care of Bob and by the second day had Bob saying YO MON ! NO PROBLEM ! It was really funny. We all got off the ship in Jamaica. We took an air conditioned van with a lift into town for shopping and a tour of the island, It was well worth the $30 a person we paid. . The weather was bad in Grand Cayman so no one could get off the ship. We all got off in Cozumel and went shopping. We ate all our meals on board. Went to shows , the casino and played Bingo for big money which I did not win. I did win a video of the cruise in review.  I did have 3 drinks on board. Not bad for being there 8 days. Two of them was the drink of the day on 2 different days and one was a strawberry dauguri after a bad day taking care of Bob. His care took alot but I am so glad he got to go. I would do it again in a heart beat. All went well until we were parting the ship. They were to slow helping the handicap so I took Bob down myself. Bob and Ruth got off earlier to help us once we were down. When we got to the bus, it was the same broken bus and driver. He couldn't get the lift to work. I started complaining for we paid $35 a person  for what? No one seemed to care until I started writing down numbers off the bus and wouldn't give them my slip. The head man said that it only showed you paid and I said " Exactly and what did we pay for ? "  It was about 5 minutes and someone came over and said they contacted the supervisor to put fire under someone. It was really funny how fast they got the lift fixed then. Once at Orlando airport they really checked Bob at security. They didn't load  handicap first like in Baltimore. Same Airline and service so different. I did tell them in Baltimore how great of a job they were doing and how much different  our service was. I am usually not a complainer but wrong is wrong ! The day was long. We got home about 10 pm. Bob was very tired and so glad to get in his bed. They gave him a set of wings on the plane since it was his first flight. Shame he didn't remember it. He was nervious flying back and said he wouldn't fly again. I think he enjoyed it for he was looking out the window. I saw a rainbow coming out of the clouds ! Talk about pretty !! All in all it was a good trip. This one was for Bob. I will go again and really enjoy myself in the near future. Enough detail ? See you lighter. Joanne

Well Joanne, it sounds like you had a splended time!
I'm so glad.  I love cruises also they are just so relaxing.
What cruise line did you use?  I put my family vote in for a cruise next year, maybe Bermuda.  I'd actually go on any cruise to anywhere if we could leave out of the port of Balt, Phil or the one in NJ.  Save on air fare.

We went on Royal Caribeean ( Mariners of the Sea ) . Do ships port in Baltimore, NJ or Phila ? I was looking at prices yesterday. You can really get some last minute deals. I am ready to go again. Thats where my vote goes too. I would love to go on one for Mother's Day. See you lighter. Joanne
