Tuesday/Wednesday Roll Call

Okay I am combining days...its been that kind of week.  Pain levels for me have been bad.  Not sure if its just the change of weather.  I don't do well with cool things!

I have been a little more medicated than usual.  I will say that I am still losing - I don't have appetite for things.

I do know that my protein levels must be a little low because the hair is starting to fall out again.  What a tell tale sign huh.  I guess its back to bumping up protein again.  I need something with a lot of punch that I don't have to eat a lot.  Any ideas for me?  I do protein shakes but was told by my nut to limit drink to one scoop.  So what are you guys eating that is small, has a lot of protein in it.  I seriously don't have appetite and really don't want to eat so its a force thing these days.  I would like to keep it around 1-2 oz.  smaller the better.

Thanks

Good Morning...
I know it's Wednesday now but to reply to your request for minimal portion for maximum protein--Can you eat eggs?  I buy Jumbo eggs because there are 11gm protein in just one egg.  I am also still drinking the EAS AdvantEdge shakes, which contain 17gm per 11 ounce carton.  You can pour it over ice and sip it slowly so you don't get full.  I love the chocolate ones.  I should also mention liver...EWWWW but very high in protein even in small portions...I think 3 ounces of chicken livers has something around 23gms,  I can't eat it but the hubby loves the stuff.

I know the feeling of forced eating.  My ulcer often makes it hard for me to eat, even though food on the pouch makes it feel a little better for a while. When your belly hurts that bad, you just don't want to eat.  I hope you feel better soon.

Happy Hump Day Kathy,

Gosh I wished I liked eggs and liver....I never could eat them...the smells always made me ill as a kid and I won't touch them.  The EAS can be purchased at Walmarts right?  Thanks for the inputs....Have a good day!

Deb,  I eat those small individual packs of cottage cheese.  It is only a few onces and high in protein  Good luck.  You have had your share on pain.  I hope it goes away soon.
Love,
Ellen

Hi Ellen,

I am back to working the cottage cheese again...the fruit and cottage cheese packet is good for 11 grams so I try to get at least one a day in.  I was hoping there would be other foods out there I could eat and get more for a little.  Thanks for your inputs...Happy Hump Day to you.
