Looking for a support group for my BF who has had RNY.  He just moved here (Cecil County, MD) and all the Maryland groups are a few hours south or west from here.  Looking for something in New Castle County.   Thought I would throw this out there to see if anyone had any information.  Many thanks.

I found a post that elissa h posted on here i htink it was ealry june i cant figure out how to copy and paste it or send the link.  I know there is one near christiana hopsital at CHRIAS that i have atteneded as well as one not far from there at a church i also attended once.  The one at chrias i believe is the second wednesday of the month but i left my calender at home.  The one at the church was the next week on tuesday.  If you go to about page 8 i think( might be 6) on the de board you should find the list.  I hope this helps some.

Thanks Amy - you had surgery at Barix?  I did too.  I had Dr. Brader but he isn't there any more.  I know Dr. P is a great doctor.  I go to the support group occasionally up there but Langhorne is such a long drive.  Thanks for the info!

There are many support groups in New Castle County. If you go back on the board to old post you you will find a list. I highly recommend the one at Victory Fellowship church. It is on Rt 40 by Walmart. They meet the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7pm.  Hope this helps. Joanne

Here is a link to the post with many of the support group meetings in DE.  I would second Joanne's recommendation about the Healthy Journey meeting at Victory Christian Fellowship in New castle.

The St Francis Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence's Post-op only support group hosted by Dr Gail Wynn is the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 6:30-7:30pm except December.  Dr Peters is hosting on October 8th...hope you can make it!
