Thursday Roll Call

Good morning Delaware ! The weather is kinda cool in Lower Slower Delaware this morning. Hope all has a wonderful day. Our cruise is 3 days away. We leave for Baltimore on Saturday and fly out on Sunday. Bob is still holding on strong for the trip. He did have a stroke on Sunday so has on use in his one leg. They think what is happening is his tumor is breaking off into his coroid artery or blood clots are shooting. When they pass he is a little more alert. Debbie C. you were right. Hospice will discharge him on Saturday in case he needs to be hospitalized on our trip and our insurance will pay. They will pick him back up upon our return. Everything is in place so today I will pack. Do last minute things tomorrow. I am really looking forward to the trip. It will not be as nice as I planned but I will still make the best of it. I'm sure I will go next year for the real thing. If anyone is interested keep it in mind. I will give all info upon my return. Please keep us in prayer. My biggest fear is Bob will die on ship but I will face whatever God's plans are. Take care and see all lighter. Joanne

Glad to see you back on the boards!  Man a cruise, I am jealous!  Hope you enjoy it.  I love them.  Its so relaxing.

Judy, I found out today that they could refuse to take him on the plane and ship. If you don't hear from me on Monday we are cruising.  I will post if we are home. I didn't realize there was so many obsticles.  So I still don't know if this is a reality or not. Please pray all works out. See you lighter. Joanne

Joanne, the travel agent in my brain is taking over right now.  Did you purchase travel insurance?  If anything happens to him while you are onboard that cruise they will expect payment for their services at that time.  Also, if they deny you boarding because of his ill health you will get a full refund for the air and the cruise.  Travel insurance will also pay if something really bad happened and they had to fly you back home.  If you didn't purchase it at the beginning of your travel plans then there is nothing you can do at this point, but I just wanted to ask if you had it.  If you do take the insurance company's 800# with you in case of an emergency, they have 24 hours emergency help lines for that reason.

Deanna, Didn't take the insurance for I thought it only covered if you couldn't make the trip. I am glad you explained it to me now. Of course Day late and dollar short. Just pray that all works out. I just went to the airlines website. I didn't see any reason why they could refuse him under the disabilities act.  Thanks for info. next time I will ask you. See you lighter. Joanne
