Monday Roll Call
We made it! Yes its Monday and work begins again. With all the stuff going on in our lives we still have to take time for us. Always remember you are just as important as those you care about. So starting today I am going to take 5 minutes and just do nothing. No TV, computer, telephone, etc. Just quite time for me. Maybe we can work it up to 30 minutes.

Good morning everyone!
Debbie you are so right we need to take some "ME" time everyday. Life is so busy for all of us we forget about "me"! Here's a challenge to all of you to take at least 5-10 minues for yourself!
I hope this week is a good one for all of you.. Thursday I meet with the gym trainer and start exercising. Gotta get in shape for the new journey.
I didn't do well with my first food journal with Dr. S. I guess I have alot to learn about what I have been eating. He says I eat way too many carbohydrates. Any suggestions for food selections??

You will probably have to start liking things like yogurt (Lite versions), cottage cheese, meats, fish, shellfish, beans, protein shakes, protein bars (not too many of them...too many calories!), green veggies, fruits (fresh - stay away from bananas - high in sugar) That should get you started. Good idea to get moving before surgery with the trainer. I plan on getting back into that groove in September when I join back with the Y. I have been sick too long its time to act like a well person even if I am not well!

Thank you Debbie for the ideas. I like most of the things you have mentioned so it shouldn't be a problem. My worse thing is trying to fix something for dinner. I have been having alot of grilled chicken but I love chicken so that's OK but I need variety.
I also am cutting out all desserts-ice cream is my weakness.
Its hard but I am getting there. Lapband surgery should be in January or Febrauary so this is giving me time to prepare.

Im all about me time. I think sinc im single with no kids its a little easier fro me to say hey im not doing anything right now its my time to do as i want. hey i have had whole days where i have stayed in my PJs around the house or just not talked to people...if i dont talk to them they cant ask me to d ostuff.....LOL.
Anywaym it seems really nice out today i just woke up and have to go back to work ina few hours Ihope you all had a good day....SCHOOL started...yes i get excited adn dont have kids.

I don't have kids but I do have a husband....its like having kids but worse sometimes! He is good but sometimes its good to just be alone.
I don't think I want to be alone all the time but just a small portion of time would be nice.

I will let Tim know you were asking for him....Trying to get my butt in gear. Putting things back where they belong I guess you can say....I need to start with me and hoping by doing this it will bring me back to the well person I use to be.
