Sunday Roll Call
Good morning Delaware!!
Did anyone watch the Olympics last night? I can't keep my eyes off of it. With it being on so late, sometimes I can't keep my eyes open!! Michael Phelps WOW what a swimmer!! 8 Gold medals.
Happy Sunday to everyone. Just having a cup of coffee and enjoying my moment of peace and quiet. It won't last long when the kids get up. It's chilly out this morning. Its suppose to warm up the kids want to go to the pool.
Does anyone take any extra vitamins above and beyond what your surgeon recommends? If you do, I'm interested in hearing what kind and how much.
Enjoy your day!

Oh, yeah, I've been glued to the Olympics this week. I'm going to pay for it tomorrow morning when I have to get up early, but I really want to see the gymnastics.
I take what my surgeon recommends in the way of vitamins. Because I had the DS and not the RNY, I have to be extra careful with my vitamins.

Thank you Judi, and anyne else who have been keeping the Roll Calls going in Joanne's absence. She really needs our support during this difficult time, and a consistent routine is a good step.
Sunday was a pretty good day. The weather was really nice...but got kind of hot later in the afternoon. We had a stranded baby raccoon hanging around at the cafe. He was wounded and scared, but dangerous nonetheless. We called Pot-Nets security but of course, they had no idea what to do. We tried capturing him so we could release him back into the woods but a raccoon can make himself very small and managed to escape, only to wander back to the common areas where people are. We were afraid he would attack and bite someone. He almost seemed tame because of the fact he was out and about during the daylight hours, unusual for a nocturnal animal, and staying near human beings. His hind quarters were injured. We chased him around off and on all day but as far as I know, no one was able to capture him so I hope he made his own way to the wooded areas nearby.
Ed went to his first CDA meeting (Chemically Dependent Anonymous) of his own accord, although a 12 -step program was ordered by the court. His intake isn't scheduled until next week to get him into a program, but he found one on his own. He wants to go 3 times a week. He is also attending Mass again. Praise God. This event seems to have turned him around and I will see the old Ed again soon, the Ed I fell in love with. When he completes the court ordered programs and passes all of the urine tests, his charges wil be dismissed/expunged, and we will get the bail money back. He has a very positive attitude and is not having any withdrawal problems at all. More praises.
My ulcer has healed once again and I am feeling much better. I am able to eat again but am maintaining my weight at just around 150 pounds. I am comfortable with that. When the ulcer was bad, I just couldn't eat for the pain. I have been very good since the healing and not eating the breads and carbs. Sticking to the program. My daughters call me "Tiny." :>).
