Monday Roll Call
Ya know Joanne, I was just talking with my lapband friend that I stay on track with my diet monday to friday much better than the weekends. The weekends could be a free for all! I need the structure of a planned day.
Can't wait until you try the banana bread, love it! Now the zucchini brownies, don't know about that. Never had zucchini, does it taste like the yellow summer squash?
Some one on the main boards posted a peanut butter cookie recipe. looks really good and easy. Here it is if anyone is interested.
Peanut Butter Cookies
1 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunch)
1 1/3 cup Splenda
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pour everything together and mix well. Roll into equal sized balls (usually makes about 16 - 20). Flatten with your fingers or a fork. Sprinkle a tiny bit of splenda on top of each one.
Bake at 350 until done (7 - 8 minutes the way I like them).
I usually roll them into balls, then freeze most of them. I thaw them out 1 or 2 at a time (in little rubber bowls in the fridge). That way I can bake only 1 or 2 at a time.
I usually eat it warm right out of the oven........ YUMMMMMMMMMM............
Enjoy! Have a great day, Judy

Hi everyone....I gues sI will make this reply to the Monday Roll Call an "all weekend report."
Ed and I left for Wildwood on the ferry at 7pm Friday. It was a wonderful sail across the bay. We found our campground and set up the tent. It was a borrowed tent and we accidently burned a hole in the screen. The lantern handle, which gets hot, fell and brushed against it, leaving a small hole. We tried to patch it but I think the glue in the patch kit was old because it won't dry. We have offered and are prepared to buy our friend a new tent if necessary. We thought check out time was 11am, but it was actualy 2pm, so we planned to spend Saturday at the boardwalk but the weather at the campground was so wonderful, we just hung out there all day. We got to spend some time with Ed's son Chris, who has lost over 320 pounds since March 2007. He looks great. We did the boardwalk Sunday, paid $8 to park and in less than 2 hours, a severe lightening storm rolled in and it didn't look like it was going to go away, so we left. We called the ferry and they got us on an earlier trip back to Lewes. The sail back was a bit rough and the lightening was beautiful, but scary. I had to work Monday but after work, I spent the rest of the day putting the gear away, doing laundry, and went to see the grandkids. I am bad, I ate bad food all weekend and it showed up on the scale. Back to the basics..protein shakes and yogurt LOL. We loved our weekend away from everything and plan to do it more often.

Kathy, Your post brings back such memories. We started camping at Holly Lake when I was just a kid. We camped there until 1990. Our first tent had no bottom. It rained and pillows got wet. I could really tell you some stories from Bob's drinking back then. Those were the good ole days of sitting around the camp fire and playing name that tune, roasting hot dogs and everyone having a good time. Boy how I miss them days. See you lighter. Joanne
