Saturday Roll Call

Good morning Delaware ! It appears like it is going to be a nice day in Lower Slower Delaware !  I had the right day for my procedure and that is over with finally. I was ready to go home afterwards . It seemed like they were so slow releasing me. I kinda snuck out on them at the end. They told me to sit on this bench before I left. I went to the bathroom and out the door while the nurse was busy. Then I slept most of the way home. My sister told me , I told them I was ok but was walking like I was drunk.  I guess it was good meds. I really like Dr. Koch and his bedside manner. I was very comfortable with him.  We got to Harrington about 5:30p.m. I did go to the fair. Demo Derby was good but the owner got hit by one of the cars in the first heap. The car trapped him between a bar from the stage and the car was on top of him. The fireman had to lift the car off him. He was flown to Christiana Hospital. That is the first time in fair history that anyone was actually hit by a car. Please say a prayer for Mike. Alot of my family was there. My brother has a tow truck so he let Robert ride in the cab to tow cars out. You should of seen his face as he waved to Alexus. We didn't tell her he was riding. It's a boy thing.  I only ate a bowl of vegetable soup and it was really good.  We walked around with the kids. They got on a few rides, played a couple of games and we were done. I got home at 1:30 a.m.  It was a long day. Debbie stayed with Bob. When I got home, laundry was done and someone made a cake with my bananas that were riping fast and there was no dishes in the sink.  I think I'll go away for a day again.  My grandkids leave for vacation with their Mom this morning. The house will be quite for 2 weeks. What will I do ???? Hope all has a very blessed and relaxing day. See you lighter. Joanne

Good Morning Delaware, I had to work today and am here now, no biggie though this is only my 2nd Saturday that I have had to work since I started, I think I can handle that.  I worked yestersday until 530pm, got home about 630pm and made 2 loves of zucchini bread with Splenda and a batch of zucchini bread cupcakes with mini chocolate chips.  I also made about a dozen zucchini cakes (like a crabcake but zucchini instead).  Everything is yummy, I love cooking with Splenda.  I make a cucumber and onion salad and use Splenda in the dressing and I love it, Doug's sister has me make now once a week she likes it so much.  Having access to all of these fresh of the farm veggies, I am in heaven that is for sure. 
Not doing much when I get home, just cooking dinner and relaxing.  I have to be at church tomorrow morning for a meeting at 7am, I think I am going to be the chairperson in charge of hospitallity for the church.  That is important to me, I like to have people feel welcome and relaxed when they visit our church.

Mmmmm . . . I love fresh produce too, and that cucumber/onion salad sounds delicious!

We received a copy of a Splenda cookbook when my son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. It's called "The Splenda World of Sweetness: Recipes for Homemade Desserts and Delicious Drinks" and boy, just looking at the photos will make your mouth water LOL!

I haven't tried any of the recipes yet . . .

Deanna, maybe you could share your recipe with all of us.  Splenda has become my favorite
sweetener.
The weather is great today!  Feels humid though,  I have had sinus pressure all day today and yesterday.  My sinus issues seem to be the only thing my weight loss didn't affect.  Oh well can't win them all.
My daughter currently thinks i'm the meanest mom around.  She wants to get her ears pierced again and I won't let her.  She's going shopping monday at the mall and planned on doing it there as she casually mentions it to me today. NOT!  Oh well, she'll get over it jsut like everything else.
Joanne if your house gets too quiet for you, I can ship my kids down to you.  You'll never know your grandkids are gone!

Judy, No thanks ! I am looking forward to the next 2 weeks of peace and quiet ! I went thru the ear piercing thing too. They do get over it.  Did they watch the Hahnna Mondana concert at your house? See you lighter. Joanne
