Good Morning Delaware ! How was the rain in your area ? I hope no one got rained on at the state fair. It didn't rain in lower slower Delaware until later. Yesterday Bob , Debbie , Kent ( Debbie's boyfriend ) and I went to lunch at Ledo's. Let me tell you it was an experience. Kent complained the whole time. He didn't read the menu and they put mayo on his cheese steak. Well it was clearly written. Bob and I shared a cheese steak and I asked for the mayo on the side. Mine was very good. Then he complained there was no meat. I finally told him he should of read the menu and why didn't you order pizza, you knew it was good. It will be a long time before I go out with him again. He is just the kind of person I can't be around to long.  I did appoligise to the waitress. She was cool and said to tell him it was a pleasure to wait on him and rolled her eyes. Hey Cathy, we would of gotten thrown out of your work place. He is one of them people you were talking about and Bob and I shared. LOL!!!!  Well today is prep day for my conolostopy tomorrow. 2nd time around. Maybe I will get it right this time.  Debbie is staying with her Dad and my sister is taking me to D.C. for the test. I will be so glad when it is over. As you can see nothing exciting going on in my life today. How about you guys ? If I don't do Friday roll call someone please pick it up for me and post. See you lighter. Joanne

Hi Joanne:

We got alot of rain during the night-but we need it!

UGH-I hate the preperation the night before a colon test.  Just did mine a couple of months ago.  The test is a whiz but I hate all the p**ping before that.  Hope all goes well!

Does anyone in the Millsboro area- know of a small mobilehome or little house for rent on the west side of Rt 113?  My Mother-in-law lives in Leisure Point but we would like to move her closer to my husband and I.  She is having alot of health problems and we need to have her closer to us to be able tohelp her out more. She lives on social security so she can't afford alot of rent.  I don't have a big enough house to move her in with us ( we live near Parker Block).  Any ideas??

Again everyone, keep posting-you all are my inspiration.

Hi everyone . . . wow that was some thunderstorm last night here in LSD . . . it woke me up out of a dead sleep. We needed it. Or should I say, my "three" tomatoes needed it (out of three plants, we are winding up with three edible tomatoes this summer hahaha).

Yesterday I spent the day in Maryland running errands and I got the chance to stop at my favorite thriftstore -- it's an upscale place and they were having a mid-summer clearance -- I got two pairs of lightweight trousers, a dress, two sweaters and a beach coveriup for under $5.

Today I am attempting to take the hellions up to the movies. How many days until school starts again???

BJ:  Where is the thrift store in Maryland that you go to??  Is it in Salisbury?

Thanks, Debbie

It's over the Bay Bridge, in Severna Park, called "Chesapeake Treasures." There is also a Salvation Army store in the same strip mall.

Actually, I'm looking for thrifts local to Rehoboth/Millsboro areas. Besides Goodwill and Salvation Army . . . are there any others within, say, a 30-mile radius?

I am dying to go to the one in Ocean View, the couple of times I've been down that way they weren't open.

Salisbury used to have a good thrift store but I am not sure it is still open. I will have to ask around!  I heard Ocean View is good too but haven't been able to get there yet.

Maybe someone in this area may know of any others???

Have a good day, Debbie D

BJ, I slept thu the whole storm.  I got you beat I have 1 tomato plant with 5 tomatoes on it. Funny last week I told Bob and his nurse that I was only going to get 1 tomato. They both said I was wrong so watch out next week I bet you have more. My hellions leave Saturday for vacation with their Mom for 2 weeks. School will be starting before you know it.  You got to take me to that thrift store. See you lighter. Joanne

Hello Delaware, I was at the state fair last night and it rained my whole way up the road and I thought please God let it stop when I go to walk to the gates, well I got my wish.  It stopped raining and didn't start raining again until Trace was done singing and we were leaving the fair.  It was an awesome concert and I loved every minute I was there.  I didn't get to see anything else but the concert and the food vendor that sold me my yummy grilled chicken wrap and potato chip french fries.

I am working today until 6pm so by the time I get home it will be close to 7pm, this is the only down fall with my new job.  I am 45 minutes from home, although this morning I made it here in 35.  For anyone who likes to shop clearance Boscov's is having some really great clearance sales right now.

Have a great day everyone.

Deanna
