Tuesday Roll Call

Good morning Delaware,  Still hot and muggy in lower slower Delaware. It is very busy down here with all the visitors. I went out to route #1 yesterday and traffic was very heavy. I can't stand it but that is one of them down falls for living at the beach.  Not much planned for today. I may start packing for my grandkids vacation with their Mom. Bob had a bad day yesterday so today should be better for him. He over does it and then gets so worn out. His nurse told me to just let him go and don't harp on him not eating. All I ask is that he eat 3 healthy meals a day.  He thinks that is eating to much. It is hard for me to let go. At 118 lbs he needs to eat and not lose any more weight. Am I wrong ? Do I not get it ? I am trying to keep weight on him and lose weight  myself. I have to say this has been hard. Ok enough about me ! How is everyone else doing ? What are your plans for keeping cool, eating and exercising ? I don't think I am going to cook today except for breakfast. I am going to make an omlet with salsa on top.Thanks to Harris Teeter I get mushrooms for 99 cents on their reduced produce rack. Nothing wrong with them. I also pick up green peppers reduced there too. I just love the store and this week they had crystal light buy 1 and get 2 free. I stocked up. Plus if you bought 6 you got a $4 couple off your next order. Now lets do the math. $ 4.19 for 3 so 6 is $8.38 - $4. That's $4.38 cents for 6. Anyone find a better deal this week?  See all lighter. Morning Joanne and everyone...it is hot and I'm tired of the heat.  I work full time so I sit in a/c all day but when i do get out it's stiffling.

I bet the beach is loving this weather though, has to be good for tourism....

Eating in this heat, I keep it as light as possible, salads, chicken, fish....to heavy and my little pouch says no way!  Exercise is a little tougher but I'm slugging through it, I'm still walking, although not at the pace I was going and doing my balance ball routine, I simply turn down the a/c for a little bit until I cool down afterward and drink lots and lots of water all day long....

Sounds like the next day or two should cut this humidity down and then it will just be HOT!!

Good morning everyone . . . today I am taking a "me" day. After a weekend from h*ll here at home, dealing with family and financial issues, I need a break. So, entirely BY MYSELF this morning, I have already gone and pampered myself getting an eyebrow and lip wax LOL. I popped back here at the house just now to get my sunglasses, and now I'm heading up to Route 1, traffic and all, to spend the rest of the morning windowshopping at the outlets . . .and then hopefully finding some good books and perhaps a top or two at the Salvation Army. (I am a diehard thrift-store fan, I have not purchased one brand-new piece of clothing since my RNY surgery 4 years ago -- there are just too many good bargains at the thrift stores here -- the clothes are in like-new condition, I can't pass them up!

Good Morning everyone.  It is hot and muggy here on the eastern shore of MD too.  They have issued a thurderstorm watch for today.  We need the rain bad, our garden is looking a little sad these days.  I am working today until 6pm, by myself, which I hate, I have no one to talk to now.  I am going to the state fair tomorrow night to see Trace Adkins, I can't wait.  It is going to be an awesome show.  I love living down here, I miss my Wilmington friends, but life is so much at ease down here then back in Wilmington.  I never thought I would leave Wilmington, but now that I am out of there I don't ever want to move back.  Lower/slower is so much better :lol:

Deanna, Good to hear from you and hearing that you are okay.  It is hot here but I have been walking 4 miles everyday (early in the morning).  I went to Cowtown today and lots of fun getting bargains.  I am going to drag my husband there on Saturday since they have lots of tools that I think he would have looking at.  I don't know what most of them are for and that is just fine with me.  I got some small travel games and card games to take on our cruise.  We leave in 2 weeks from today.  I can't wait.  You know I love to cruise.  Take care and I hope everyone is having a good Tuesday.  Joanne you are wonderful getting these boards going again.  It is actually fun to get on and read here again.  I hope your husband is having a good day.

Hi Ellen, I miss you!!!!!!!!!!  I am alive and doing great down here.  Doug and I got engaged on our 1 year anniversary of dating and things are going great in that department.  He has spoiled me rotten that is for sure, I love it....   I am glad things are going well for you.  I know you are going to have a great time on that cruise, which ship this time?  You know Carnival is coming to Baltimore starting in Sept 2009 for an all year round departure.

We are going on the Carnival Miracle on August 5th out of NYC.  I can't wait to start cruising from Baltimore.  I am already looking into for Spring Break 2010 :)

I am hanging out at the house today.  I did go down to the pool with my 11 yr old sister for a little bit of fresh air. It wasnt as hot out as i expected. I am going to get some thigns together for my trek to virginia tomorrow.  Im going to see a friend from high school who i saw for the first time in  about 12years  3 months ago, Im sooo excited.  
Im jealous i havenot been shopping and I love to get good deals even if its something i dont need....LOL.

I saw the posts about cruises and I hope you have fun i went on my 2nd cruise in january man i wish i could go again already.  I didnt know carnival was going to be going out of baltimore ...I am trying to plan a cruise for next year I may wait til sept  now instead of going in may.

Look at all this participation for Tuesdays Roll Call.  You are surely getting everyone out of their hiding places.  Way to go!

It is so hot, even my kids didn't want to go to the pool today.  We went to Big lots to get more yummy Edamame!  Since its right next to Staples, we went to Staples first and got the hot deals for the kids for school.  $ .25 vinyl binders and $ .05 packs of eraser tips.  We also got great deals at Big lots for school.  Tomorrow is Kmart $ .09 1 subject spiral notebooks!
