Monday Roll Call

Good Morning Delaware ! Still Hot and Muggy in Lower Slower Delaware. It was so hot yesterday. Alexus passed out at Killen's Pond. She was there for a Birthday Party. I got a call right after Church so we had to run up and get her. That was a trip. First of all they told us at the gate we had to pay to go in and pick up a sick child from the first aide station. They called back ,verified the child was there and still wanted us to pay. Her friend's Mom brought her out. They were so rude that I put in a formal complaint  at the office. I do realize people try to get in free but they had called me from the first aide station so they had the documention in their face that I was picking up a sick child.  Get this then they wanted me to come back to the first aide station and sign papers but wouldn't let me in without paying. I told them at the office if they wanted me to sign anything they had better bring it out for I wasn't paying to sign papers for them. I was told an ambulance could bring her out free. The money really wasn't the issue . It was a point to be made. Today is another day ! Back to work for most ! Hope all has a blessed day. What is everyone up to ? See you lighter. Joanne

Good morning Joanne and all....I took a few daysoff and had no internet access...Sometimes I think that is great!! 

I can't believe your ordeal at Killens, that is just ridiculous.  I'm glad she's ok though, this heat has been unbearable.  I've been doing well, dealing with some things at home, not always pleasant but have to be done.  My youngest just got home from SC yesterday and I was very happy to see him after two weeks!! 

Exercise is good and eating is same....enjoy these dog days of summer!

Michelle, My grandkids are going with their Mom the end of this week for 10 days. They are going with her to Kentucky. I don't know if I will miss them or just enjoy the peace and quite. Since I am so use to having kids around I think I will be lost. Glad you had some relax time without internet. See you lighter. Joanne

Good morning all.... EXhausted on this end.. was in the ER from 10:00p to 2:00a... I have this really bad traveling pain in my leg.... and i can take pain but this pain isnt giving up... i went to the ER to get it checked to make sure there was NO blood clot.. well the ultra sound tech wasnt in so they did blood work that would detect one with the reading.. well the reading was border line... so i had a ultrasound done bright and early this morning.. but HAPPYLY there was NO Blood clots found... My prayers were answered thats for sure..... On a better note.....My weekend was good.. hope everyone had a nice one too.. Del city day was nice.. VERY Hot.. pretty much hung in the pool all day....had a  Bar B Q watched fire works.. then pretty much called it a night.... 3 more days till my 1st consultation!!! Whooo Hoo.. I cant wait im so SYKED!!!!!!!!!!

YOU GO GIRL ! Did you watch the fireworks from the pool ? If so next year can we come. ? See you lighter. Joanne

That was a bad experience at killens pond.....You should do a letter to the editor then maybe someone else wont have that....and it will charge for an ambulance to bring them out  unless they dont transport to a hospital and you sign refusal of services papers for the ambulance. 
Anyway im going to continue to empty out my spare room since Im now going to get a roomate to help with expenses.   Not really what i wanted but we did discuss that it shouldnt be for more than a year and they were good with that.  I haven't done much walking in the last few days because of the heat and my asthma not a good combination., I did walk around the mall friday.  I hope everyone stays cool today.

Hope everyone is trying to stay cool.  It is so hot out.  I took the kids to the Y to swim after work today.  I can't believe I forgot my sunglasses!  It was unbearable.

Joanne, I can't believe Killens Pond gave you such a hard time.  They are ridiculous!

Amy I would agree its too hot to walk especially if you have asthma.  Thank goodness when I started loosing weight my asthma went away.

Judy, Is the Y's pool outside ?  I agree it is to hot to walk outside. Exercise needs to be inside in this weather. My daughter Debbie,s asthma went away too after WLS.  She had a complication and stopped smoking too so I'm sure that helped. She use to say not only did they take my food away but they took my sex and cigarettes too. Now at 145 lbs lighter she is happy and has no regrets. See you lighter. Joanne

Monday was pretty busy for me, and it seemed it was a good day for the "whiners" as well...at work anyways.  We were strangely busy at work for a Monday and complaints were flying left and right.  No one was happy and several customers seemed to be looking for a free meal.  It was just plain bizarre.  We get alot of people that come in and want an extra plate and silverware...so they can "share" the food.  Sorry---no freebies.  We have to pay for those items, and the prices aren't so bad that they can't order something for that person.  If they think we charge too much, they should go elsewhere when they see the menu...BEFORE they order anything.  Otherwise, there is a plate fee for sharing.  Bacon wasn't crispy enough, toast wasn't toasted enough, butter wasn't soft enough,  the server didn't give someone enough napkins....OMG....where do these people come from??  Must have been the full moon or the heat but jeez, if folks are that miserable, they should just stay home.  After work, I went online and tried to find a hotel for Ed and I for our weekend stay in Wildwood coming up.  No luck....prices are outrageous this time of year.  We are going to camp out instead.  I couldn'f find one single campground over there that wasn't booked for cabin rentals, so we are pitching a tent for two days....just as well---we both enjoy camping anyways.  I sure hope Tuesday turns out better!!
