State Fair - Anyone Going?

Does anyone have plans on going to the state fair? My sister  ( ETHEL EVANS) is driving in the Demolision Derby Thursday night.  She is going to be in the truck heep. Cheer her on if you go ! Anyone seeing any shows ? I am going to miss the fair this year. Hubby can not breath in the heat and it is not a good ideal with his meds. My favorite person ( Travis Fox) is not going to be there this year. I love his show. My grandkids really like Vocal Trash. Hopefully their Dad will take them one night. I am saving my money anyway for our cruise on September 7th. It is a cruise to lose so maybe next year we can get a group together to go. Well if you go have a good time. Plan ahead for you know Fairs have all kinds of little devils ( Food)  at every corner you turn. There is so much other stuff to do besides eat. i really wanted to go and take the kids to the demo derby, but it looks like we wont be able to afford it this year. mabey next year! hope all who go have a great time!!!

I think we're going next Wednesday.  My DD loves the little chicks that you can pick up and cuddle.  I've got to admit, I really like them, too.  I like the cows, too.  I don't know why, since I was never a farm girl, always lived in the city, but I really like cows.  Moooo.

I'll probably have a scrapple sandwich while we're there, from the Kirby & Holloway place.  DH will probably get some kind of deep-fried candy to split, too - I'm gunning for the Deep Fried Oreo this year, because last year it was a deep fried Snickers, which I was not that fond of.

I like looking at all the craft entries, too.  I'd love to go to one of the concerts - Daughtry is one of my favorites - but that's not in the cards this year.  Bummer.

I'm heading down on Wednesday too.  I'm going to the Trace Adkins concert!!  :-)

Ahhh, the memories of the Harrington Fair.  Growing up we never missed a year.  I lived in Felton so it wasn't far away.
Haven't been there in wow so many years!
