Friday Roll Call

Happy 4th of July Delaware ! No big plans here. Hubby started new pain meds yesterday. He was out all day like a zombie. He wouldn't even get up for dinner. Said he wasn't hungry and went back to sleep. He refused to take meds this morning so i called the Hospice Nurse ( Cathy).  She adviced me what to do until Monday when we can get him a lower doze. We will have a healthy BBQ at home and maybe take the kids to see fireworks depending on how hubby is doing. Hope all has great plans for today. Stay cool and eat healthy. It is very hot and muggy in slower lower Delaware. Will it Rain? Who knows ! See you lighter. Joanne

We are just going to have a BBQ here.  Make some healthy side dishes.  My son has invited his neighborhood buddies over so it won't be quiet.  Hopefully see some fireworks tonight. Just very thankful for having an extra day off! Judy

Hi Delaware folks! Happy 4th! I just got a call from  temp agency asking me to work a promotion down in Ocean City, MD this afternoon. I need the money badly so it looks like I'll be making the trek down Coastal Highway today. I am leaving extra-early because I know traffic is a bear today. The forecasts are calling for afternoon showers . . . let it rain, I say LOL!!! My tomato plants need it!! -BJ

BJ, Good luck in that traffic. I hate weekends here in the summer due to the traffic. My husband said people will not be down with the price of gas. Boy was he wrong. Hope your day went well. See you lighter. Joanne

The traffic today was horrible . . . it took me two hours to get home just now. On my way down to O.C., though, I spent more time in stop and go traffic on Route 24 than I did the entire way down Route 1. All I can say is I'm glad to be home, my feet are killing me LOL. -BJ

BJ, Glad you made it home safe. I hate 24 on weekends. I wanted to go to Superfresh but I decided I would go early in the morning or not at all for I hate sitting in traffic on 24. My son took the kids to the fireworks in Rehobeth. I'm sure he is sitting in traffic now. See You lighter. Joanne

Happy 4th to you too!  We're going to my brother-in-law's for a pool party/BBQ.  I've made broccoli slaw, potato salad, and 2 sour-cream apple walnut pies.  My DH bought a couple of bottles of wine, and I know my BIL is having hamburgers, sausages, and a quarter-keg of beer.  I hope I can stay on the pool raft!!! It's kind of overcast here in N. Wilmington - I hope we get some sun for this pool party - Mama needs her vitamin D!

Good morning all and Happy 4th.  We are going to a rehersal dinner (BBQ) later at my moms.  it has already rained here this a.m. and my allergies are wrecking havoc on me today, woke up with a headache.   I am going to attempt to buy a new dress for the wedding as the one I planned on wearing is too big!  (as i jump up and down with joy) I've made deviled eggs and a strawberry shortcake for the bbq. Have a great 4th see youall after the wedding!
