I am over four years out from surgery and just got great news today!  I no longer have to use a BIPAP or CPAP - my sleep apenea is gone!  Whadda WOW moment!  I lost more weight, and no more machine!  Even though the health isn't where it should be everything else is just coming along.  I was so surprised to hear the news....I just can't believe its happened to me! So all you out there waiting for WOW moments - they come when we least expect them Debbie

Yay!!!  I loved being able to get rid of that machine!  Although, I kind of miss having my own personal humidifier when I wake up all cotton-mouthed in the morning (I'm a mouth breather at night). Pleasant dreams!

I just woke up and realize I miss the humidifier too....Man my mouth is dry!  I didn't dream.  I feel like I am in a fog - I guess it will take my body time to get use to doing it for itself?   My husband was funny last nigth - he kept nudging me to put mask on. This is a good thing but I think its going to take sometime before I am comfortable with this new way of sleeping. Thanks for your support Debbie

Debbie, Congratulations!  It is sometimes difficult to get used to not have that infernal machine.  That white noise actually became my "sleeping pill". Having said that, I certainly do not miss having it.  Getting wired up at night was not real pleasant.  And oh what a spontaneity killer!  Enjoy your new found freedom, and hoping that your health continues to improve.   We all miss seeing you at the meetings! Rob, I tried a few nights this weekend without the machine and I just felt so run down.  I put the machine back on and felt better.  Something isn't right with this picture.  Could it be my body is addicted to the machine - I have been on it since 1984....that's a long time..... Hope to see you guys soon.  I have to figure out the schedule of meetings again.  I have been so out of the loop with things.   Thanks for all your support!!!! Debbie
