Hey Joanne - Good luck tomorrow!!!  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your hubby as well. I'm like you, I need to dejunk my kitchen too.  I seem to be stuck in a rut I can't get out of.  Have you done the 5 day pouch test yet to reprogram yourself?  I'm going to try that next.  Keep us posted on how you make out tomorrow.  Take care!!!!

Cathy, I have done the 5 day pouch test. Well I did 4 days. It does help. I think it would help us to do it once a month. I had to eat the orange for I did get a carb withdraw headache. Right now I have to feed hubby so can't dejunk like I really would like to. My hubby is so picky and it is a struggle to keep him feed. Hospice told me to let him eat what he wants. His favorite right now is puffin corn. I love it too but if I start eating it I will not stop. So I have to leave it alone. I will be glad when tomorrow is over. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. Post more often and let us know how you are doing . Please know you are not struggling alone. There is many lurkers struggling too. Your post just might help them to come out. Take care. See you lighter. Joanne

Hello All, Nothing much going on around my way.  I did get a call from the nutritionist with my lab results (6 months) My protein is still low. darn.  I do 1 protein shake a day to help with the protein requirements, now I guess i'll have to do 2.  Gross! I'm suppose to get 65 gr. daily to which I do most days or get pretty close to it.  How much more should I up it? 80 gr.? Any help would be appreciated.  I do have an appt with Dr. Peters this week. Joanne, I hope all is well with your husband. Judy

Judy, Thanks my husband has had a good day ! The hospice nurse came and said he is doing good. He is complaining about pain near his ear. She thinks the tumor is growing and causing tightness on the nerves. We knew to expect this so was not surprised. She ordered his meds and flushed his port. Have you tried the Kellogg's Protein Water Mix? It is only 5 g a pack but if you are drinking your water it is a good way to get in extra protein. I feel I am getting protein in free. We have to drink the water anyway. It comes in tea, lemonaide and strawberry kiwi. You have to get the mix. The bottled has sugar in it but the mix doesn't. My favorite is the protein hot chocolate in my coffee in the morning and the protein water. Hope this helps. See you lighter. Joanne
