Walk on the Capital Last Night
Heather and I went to the Walk on the Capital last night. It was a really big walk. I never saw so many people. They had over 20 buses and people were there from all over the U.S. and even international. They had music playing and the speaches were very inspirational. The walk was really nice too. It was not really really hot out. God surely blessed us there. There was even a breeze. We were not sure until the last minute we were going. My mind has been elsewhere!!!.Needless to say I left my bag home with the directions and map. We found it ok but you could really see our face light up when we found the registration tent.. We got in a good workout. We did get some extra T-shirts that will be passed out at our support groups until they are gone. We had to lug them so I hope everyone who gets one is greatful and does a little walk of their own. We were thinking of all. I did take a few pictures. We got lost and it took us about an hour to get out of the city. We were fine. We still had gas in the tank and could talk and laugh.I have to say we were glad to see 50 east. You could say we took the scenic route as I am good for doing lately. All in all I am so glad we went. I needed to get away and it was an event we will never forget. Thanks Heather !!!!! See you lighter. Joanne
