Walk The Capital
The Walk from Obesity – Walk on the Capitol is officially two weeks away, and we hope each of you have already made plans to be part of history and attend the largest gathering of individuals affected by obesity and morbid obesity.
Please join us on Tuesday, June 17, for a ½ mile walk and symbolic rally that will send a strong message to the public and government that efforts to prevent and treat obesity need to be expanded.
Special Guest Speaker – Television Star Caitlin VanZandt
We are very proud to announce that television star Caitlin VanZandt, star of Guiding Light and The Sopranos, will be our special guest speaker at the Walk on the Capitol. Caitlin has struggled with obesity all her life and has dealt with many of the same issues that those affected face on a daily basis. She brings a great perspective and stresses the importance of both preventing and treating this disease.
