Walk from Obesity!

I have not heard anything about this, please keep me updated. They are having a walk October 4, 08 in Philadelphia. I didn't realize they were going to do Wilmington too. I was told it was too close together to do both cities.Again please keep us updated.

The Wilmington 2008 Walk from Obesity will not occur this year.  It will definitely happen in 2009.  As happens with most corporations, the funding was not available in the Christiana Care financial budget for 2008, and although PMRI was able to come up with the registration cost it was felt that advertising and other ammenities would not be available..  It will definitely be included as a line item in the 2009 budget.  It should be a big event.  It will probably be held at either PMRI or the Riverfront depending on the estimated size of the event.  I will keep everyone updated as I get additional information.

Rob, Thanks for letting us know. Count  me in for next year. I will not be at Victory's meeting on the 17th for I will be doing the walk the Capital. See you lighter. Joanne
