Support Groups?

Ok.. I know I am going to be the big PITA here because some a lot of this has been mentioned before.. I am three weeks post op and I want to go to support groups.. I NEED to go! I live in Newark and I want to go to something around here.. I have seen a lot of support groups for downstate but the only one I remember being told about here is through PMRI and something the first Thursday of the month??? I can't remember.... So if you guys tell me where and when to go I will be there! Thanks! Toni

St Francis in Suite 103 at the APEX  medical center, next to Dr Irgau's office, has a Band support group the second Tuesday of the month from 6-7:30PM.  I think the first Thursday is at the American Radilogy building 6:30-8PM, They usually walk around the complex from 6-6:30PM?  FYI:  Elisa Hart posts an updated support group list on Obesity Help every month.  Good luck.  ME

Great Beginnings South Lap band support group meets the Last Thursday of each month above American Radiology in the First State Surgery Center. The meeting is from 7-830. The people who are walking are newer members of our group who are in a support group, Downstate Downsizers, that meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month in smyrna. Hi Toni,   I hear ya!!!  I am 1 yr out and have never been to a support meeting.  They are always during the week and my hubby works nights so it's hard for me to go but I really NEED to go.  I  have lost 40+ lbs but I gain 5 lose 4 over and over again.  I am a BAD band patient too.  I eat cookies and ice cream all the time.   I need to stop and remind myself why I went through all this!   btw   ....   what is PMRI ?
