Just posting quick to let you all know that I had my revision on Monday and I'm now home and doing okay.  Dr. Peters said that I had a lot of adhesions that he removed along with the ulcer as well as tightening my pouch and stoma.  But I'm home, resting and doing pretty well.  Thanks to everyone for all of their support and kind words!  sunny1

I was under the impression that CHRIAS did not do revisions that tighten the pouch.  What were your symptoms? I am glad that your ulcer was removed. That must be q big relief. Did you have issues pre WLS the 1st time? Keep posting, we're all interested. ((HUGS)) Elissa

They do revisions when medically necessary.  I believe Sunny was having Issues.  I have a friend who also had a revision due to ulcers.  I don't think they'll do a revision just because you re-gain and have nothing medically wrong with you. Congrats to you Sunny.  Hopefully this is the fix you needed and your issues are behind you.  Take care.

Hi! Sorry it took so long to get back to you but DLMoore is completely correct...I'd suffered from chronic ulcers for the last  years and that is actually the reason for th revision.  I personally wouldn't call it a revision because it was removall of the ulcers rather than tightening the pouch to cause more weight loss.  I actually will have to be careful because my pouch approx 1-2 "bites smaller now than it was before and Iwas only away from my goal of 135 but approx 30 pounds of which I've already lost 5...could be very easy now to become malnourished.  I actua;;y already ended up back at christiana for a leak check because I'd had some probs and it was from the change in pouch size.  Doing well now that I am aware of how little I have left to work with!  Thanks for the interest and hugs.

Glad you are doing well now!  Those ulcers are a real *****!  We've really got to be careful and pay close attention to our bodies from now on. I know several who have had to have revision due to ulcers.
