i am thinking about getting the lap band but i am looking for surgeon recomendations in delaware.

Dr. Peters at CHRIAS did my lap band surgery. I've been very happy with the care I have received. Good luck.

I would recommend Dr Irgau and the rest of his staff at CHRIAS.... Check out their website WWW.CHRIAS.COM They are highly recommened. I have never heard a negative thing about them...Dave

I agree with all of the above! Christiana Care Hospital & Dr. Peter's team treated me very, very well! I was concerned since I am a Type I diabetic on an insulin pump. I believe that I was able to go home so soon due in part because of the individualized care I got pre- & post-surgery. Good luck with your decision!

Not sure where in the state you live, but there are support groups for lap banders that you can talk to folks that have had lap band. The information you get at the meetings is invaluable. Usually once a month a new list is posted on Obesity Help and the list is available at PMRI and CHRIASt. When in doubt look back over the last 50 posts. Good luck. Elissa
