Got a Date!!!
...and it's real, real soon! It's April 7th!! I got encouraged at a few of the support group meetings to start checking on things since everyone else got a date & I hadn't yet...kinda like when I was in grade school in 6th grade where everyone else was already paired up with a boyfriend, but not me. Can you tell I have a sense of humor? So, I called today & after answering all of the questions that I've done everything required except for the endocrinology clearance, I got my date!! Now, just one more hurdle to jump over: I need to make sure I meet the BMI requirement of 35 & that my HA1C is 8 or lower. Cross your fingers for me.

Thank you, Judy!! I was just thinking about that last night. Wow & OMG! I couldn't believe it when I was given the date. I even said, "Is this really happening?" I'm not at all nervous about the procedure (my husband sure is!!). I just thought I'd have more trouble getting through the hurdles. Who knows? I could still be disqualified for 2 reasons: My weight/my overall blood sugars. I am just on the BMI 35 borderline. Cross your fingers for me, please???
