Hello to my Delaware Friends!
It's been forever since I've posted or even visited the board, so HELLO EVERYONE!!!! Much has happened since I last visted.
I've lost a total of 124lbs since gastric bypass in April of 2005. I've been stuck at 185 for over a year now. I'm not really sweating in, because I'm happy, I'm healthy, I look pretty good, and I have tons of energy. I still follow the program, 95% of the time. I still concentrate on high protein, low fat and fluid intake. I struggle with getting in enough fruits and vegetables, and of course, exercise...but that leads me to the biggest change so far..
I now live 5 blocks from my office, so most days I walk to and from work. Why is this big news? Well, my office is in Greenville, SC. My job at Chase was eliminated in September, so I put my resume out for a national job search, and found a great position with a company in Greenville. Ordinarily, given our lifestyle, Jenn and I wouldn't have fathomed moving to the South, especially not to a city deemed "The Buckle on the Bible Belt", but the job is fantastic. Since we live downtown, we don't run into the bigotry that we'd get in the more rural areas.
Jenn has been accepted in the Greenville Chorale, a 200+ person choir, and while she misses the Rainbow Chorale of Delaware, the music performed by the choir here is phenomenal, and is a good fit for her.
I hope that all of our friends in Delaware are happy and healthy, and that you all (or should I say y'all now?) keep in touch!

I am so glad to hear from you. I was wondering how you and Jenn were doing. I am glad you are doing well both health wise and job wise but I am sad you have moved away from Delaware. You were such a great support for me when I first had my surgery and I will never forget that. I am doing well and have lost 130 pounds. It is hard since I can eat everything and stress eating is still there. I have to work really hard everyday. Let us know if you every get back to Delaware...I would love to see you both.
Love,
Ellen
