Ok Delaware !! What did you do special for Valintines Day ? Myself I stayed home with my grandkids and made it a special day for them while their Dad and PopPop went out. My husband takes an 82 year old woman shopping every Thursday night. He took her as usual so I got alot of Ribbing about that but if you knew my husband you would understand. All I heard was where did Dad take Ms. Helen for Valentine"s Day. The answer was Walmart to get tires on her car, shopping and out to dinner as usual. You would just love this lady. She is like my husband's Mom. Last night my daughter and boyfriend called and said be ready at 6pm, we are taking you out. Just tell Dad and Voo to cook dinner for the kids. We went to a new Chinese Buffet in Rehobeth. It was really nice. Great grill and lots of healthy seafood choices and great salad bar. Had a good time and kid free. Today I am going with Debbie to get my nails done and a pedicure. My gift to myself !!! Who needs chocolate ??? Hope all had a great day and a great weekend. See all lighter. Joanne

Hi Joanne,    We didn't do anything for Valentine's Day.  My husband had an appt for our westie at the University of Penn Vet. hospital at 4pm. With the traffic and the over turned tractor trailer on 95, he didn't get home until 8pm (we live in Bear, 45 min away).  My kids enjoyed their cards and chocolate and a quiet evening. Judy

Judy, Glad to here it is about kids. Doing something special for my grandkids makes me happier then getting something myself. Sorry about that traffic. Hope you had something for the kids to do if they were with you. I carry a kid emergency kit with me in my car. I was a brownie troop leader for 3 years so I'm prepared. If nothing else we can sing !!! See you lighter. Joanne

Hey JoAnne, For Valentine's Day, I grilled up filets for my wife and daughter and we downed a quick dinner.  We're so old, we usually just exchange cards.  Then I headed off for a Valentine's spinning class.  The instructor gave me twelve red roses, and a box of homemade chocolate covered strawberries.  So when I got home, I got to play the hero and give my wife twelve red roses and a box of chocolate covered strawberries.  All around, a very fun day. See you soon, Rob

When I got home from work I had a box of  4 giant , chocolate-covered strawberries from the hubster.  Um...... I don't eat strawberries. Hubster felt bad so he took me out Friday night (he works his 2nd job thursdays) to this really great Indian restaurant on Kirkwood Highway called Maharajas (you know it's good when all of the clientelle were of Indian decent, I think there was only 1 other caucassian family in the place besides Rodger and I and the place was full).  OMG it was good!  I had a saffron chicken that was to die for.  I tell ya, I just can't get over how much I LOVE indian/Middle Eastern food since my surgery.  Before I could take it or leave it, now..... LOOK OUT!

Indian food = Asian/Indian, the food from the country called India.  Curry, saffron, etc. flavors.  OMG so yummy!  Haven't been down to the PowWow in a couple of years.  It's on my list for this year though. Rodger ate the strawberries himself.  His logic was that I like the Berry Flavored Propel............. He's knucklehead, but I loves him!

At least the strawberries didn't go to waste. Got to love the knuckleheads !!!!!  Berry flavored Propel and strawberries ! No comparison but hey he tried.  I love the PowWow. Especially the story telling and just walking around. Everyone should come down and go one time. You will return !!! My husband loves their succatash. I didn't go last year due to working but  Debbie brought Bob back some succatash so he was a happy camper. Take care and see you lighter. Joanne
