Has anyone out there had Dr. Wynn as a surgeon?  If so, I was wondering how you made out with her post-op diet.  I had surgery on 10/8 and was on clear liquids for two days after that.  Then I started 4 weeks of regular liquids (anything that will go through a straw-but don't use a straw) creamed soups, jello, protein shakes, cream of wheat.  When on this stage, how much were you eating and how often were you eating?  Also, do you have any other ideas for different food variations.  The cream soups are getting old quick!   Thanks                                                                                      Larry

Hi Larry. Welcome to the looser's bench. Sounds like you are on track with the food choices.  A few ounces if you are lucky. 6 meals are recommended, however, some are lucky to get in 4 at first. This is a great time for you to attend a local support group. You have tons of questions, fears and doubts. From experience we can help with some of this. Course we are all very different, but all the info you can absorb the better. Let me know where you are located and I'll give you the places close by.  How are you feeling? Keep in touch with the dr's. ((HUGS)) Elissa

Sounds like you had Lap Band... and about a month ago, so you're probably starting mushies now. I had Lap Band on 5/24, and only lasted about 2 weeks on full liquids. Was bored, hungry, etc. etc. I started having yogurt (which I've seen people say counts as a liquid), ricotta cheese (smaller curd than cottage cheese), and applesauce after about 2 weeks. If you're careful, try just a bit and make sure you tolerate it before continuing, you can move on to the next stage a little bit faster than they tell you. Beth
