Doctor Kracker

Hi all,Debbie and I went to the Obesity Help event in Fairfax, Va. saturday and really had a good time. We meet alot of owesome people too. While we were there we visited this store called Whole Foods. It reminded me of Trader Joe's but much larger. While there we picked up these crackers. They were Doctor Kracker (snacker krackers).They had 6g of protein,4g of fiber,5g of fat,13g of carb and 120 calories in 8 crackers. We were also introduced to Hummus by one of our new friends.I know you guys already eat this and are saying " what planet did they come from".LOL!!!! Well it was new to us. We did buy some of that too but added protein powder to it . Does anyone know where to get Doctor Krackers here in Delaware? Does Trader Joe's carry them? We don't have anything like that in slower/lower Delaware. Also if anyone is doing something with hummus we would love to here about it. See all lighter.Joanne

I don't think that Trader Joe's has the Dr. Krackers.   They are good.  If you really like them you can buy them through Amazon.com (but only in 6-packs).  Whole Foods is trying to set up a store on 202 and Naamans but they are getting some opposition.  I hope they are successful because they definitely carry some quality products. oh, and i forgot to tell you we make our own hummus and pita chips.  My daughter started making them about two years ago.  They are really good, and really easy.  I'll get you the recipe soon.

Ali Babas on Main street in Newark has the BEST Hommus (yes they spell it that way)!  I get it take out all the time.  Especially good when I've been lax on my fiber intake and good with my iron intake (youknowwhatimean).  They sprinkle some olive oil on top which helps me "get things movin" again. Didn't Whole Foods open a store right there on Rt52 in Greenville, just down from the PMRI building?

If they did please let me know. That will have to be a stop Debbie and I make on our monthly trip up north for sure. See you lighter. Joanne

Joanne, I know it's been months since you posted, but I just came back to the site after a long hiatus.  Anyway, there is a Whole Foods on Rt 52 just as you enter Greenville - and you're right, it's an awesome store! Bertie
